The Current Landscape: The Vice President of Acelero Learning, South Carolina, is responsible for all program oversight and leadership within their local service areas. This role requires skilled leadership, strategic, and analytical thinking to coordinate and direct all program and administrative services for our Birth to five programming, including Early Head Start and Head Start service delivery. The VP of Acelero Learning Head Start responsibilities also include supervision and performance management of an assigned leadership team and oversight of direct service staff, overall guidance of all program operations, and ensuring full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies and prescribed requirements (e.g. Head Start Performance Standards, child care licensing, health department, fire, and district collaborations). The incumbent is charged with providing the program with vision and leadership and will take a thoughtful, proactive, and collaborative approach to ensure management.

+ Demonstrating leadership in alignment of work and approach to company vision, mission, core values and the advancement of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
+ Serving as an active member of both the Acelero Learning Head Start and Acelero Shine leadership team.
+ Communicating department goals and progress frequently and effectively with the Acelero Head Start governing board and policy council, office of the president business unit leaders, and other appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
+ Partnering in communications and development activities to advance Acelero’s strategic priorities.
+ Serving as an industry thought leader on Head Start related topics through conference presentations, articles, and professional or scientific publications.
+ Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.
A Day in the Life:
Leadership & Management
+ Oversees the day-to-day management, operations, and compliance for the South Carolina Head Start Program.
+ Serves as the external face of Acelero Learning in the local community, reflecting positively on the organization and advocating for its presence in South Carolina and other prospective service areas.
+ Maintains a positive relationship with South Carolina Board of Directors, Parent and Policy Committees, regional Executive Directors, and national support center staff, including serving on the national Head Start Leadership Team.
+ Manages the regional budget, striving to find efficiencies and room for revenue growth on a regular basis.
+ Uses current and relevant data consistently to make informed decisions regarding program structure, program options and overall program size and effectiveness.
+ Works collaboratively with their local teams, the Director of Enrollment Strategy, the President of Acelero Learning, Director of Grants, the grantee and the Regional Office to write for additional funding opportunities, or to write for potential change of scopes, which include adding or removing program options that are more viable compared to those that are no longer meeting the immediate needs of children and families within their local service area.
+ Seeks opportunities to establish new relationships and partnerships within the local community with school districts and other mission-aligned organizations in support of leveraging local, state or federal resources to improve quality of services for children and families (e.g. expand district partnerships and funding where feasible and realistic).
+ Works closely with their local EIB leads and our VP of Equity, Inclusion and Belonging ensuring a safe and welcoming environment where individuals and groups can effectively live our value of Embracing Diversity, and building a strong representative team of leaders reflective of our parent and student population.
Supervision
+ Educates direct reports on all department and company policies and procedures.
+ Meets with assigned staff regularly to identify and resolve problems, manage projects, track goals, and review work processes and procedures.
+ Provides leadership support and oversight of the work regarding effective enrollment strategies for their local delegates. This includes working collaboratively with the Director of Enrollment Strategy but does not require supervision or performance management of the Director of Enrollment Strategy.

Who should apply? (Requirements)
+ Bachelor’s Degree required, ideally in business or education; Master’s degree is strongly desired .
+ Minimum five (5) years of experience required in a management role involving program oversight, fiscal management, facilities management, and administration, preferably within a multi-site operation; some Head Start experience or experience in a field related to childhood education, or families preferred.
+ Minimum three (3) years of experience regularly supervising teams of at least 10 people required.
+ Demonstrated experience in a change management environment requiring leadership in defining processes and establishing relationships, both internal and external required.
+ Demonstrated experience in program planning, operations, and evaluation, and the use of management information systems required.
When/Where/How Much:
Start Date: Fall 2024
Location/Travel: Onsite at on of our South Carolina delegate locations. Travel required locally or long-distance up to 30% of the time for work-related leadership meetings, delegate site-visits and other work functions.
Salary: $120,000 + benefits
This position earns up to 120,000.00 Annually
