Job Description

The Vice President, Agency Partnerships will lead a team of national advertising sellers on creative strategic plans for Omnicom, a global leader in marketing communications, brand and advertising services. This leader will manage an experienced sales team that drives advertising revenue across the entire NBCU portfolio.

Responsibilities: 

Client Relationships

Lead and partner closely with a major advertising agency and its clients to uncover insights and create solutions for multi-million-dollar growth.Operate as a thought leader for the Ad Sales Partnerships team and own the regional annual sales targets for assigned brands.Strengthen and develop integrated packages and programs for a major holding company.Represent the entire NBCU Portfolio in key relationships and deals.

Negotiation

Negotiate complex deals with executive management that affect advertising sales regional performance; pursue and close challenging and strategic accounts.Develop and execute sales strategy across all platforms to maximize revenue.Manage and execute deal decisions for assigned brands.

Leadership

Oversee team of Account Directors and partner with Account Services and Planning to provide leadership to sales support staff.Evaluate Ad Sales performance programs to ensure desired outcomes.Partner with internal stakeholders to align on priority initiatives and go to market.Operate as a thought leader for the Ad Sales Strategy team. Actively contribute to strategic discussions and decision making for upfront and scatter marketplace.Promote a highly collaborative, innovative data-driven culture that challenges norms with a bias to action and speed; support diversity of thought, experience and approaches to solve issues.Ensure transparency, collaboration, and communication with senior leadership and stakeholders – advocate and champion strategy, team and process.Be an inspirational leader for best-in-class strategy talent in an innovative, fast-moving environment.

Communication

Proven executive presence with outstanding verbal and written skills, strategic capabilities, effective collaborator and superior influencing skills.Influential leadership, strong motivator and ability to manage through change.Successful history leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams.Internally, serve as Brand Leader on assigned brand(s) and develop tools and messaging to all internal parties.Represent NBCU Ad Sales business community and manage relationships with various constituents.Partner and collaborate internally with other departments including Planning and Monetization, Marketing, Insights & Measurement, Client Partnerships and Strategy.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

10+ years extensive Sales/Sales senior management and ad sales industry experience required; Established relationships with Omnicom preferred5+ years of VP level sales management with cable multi-platform sales experiencePrior management/team leadership experience

Established network of contacts and relationships within the ad sales business CommunityKnowledgeable in overall media ecosystem, key trends, marketplace dynamicsRecent, relevant experience in large, matrixed organizationsRecognized as thought leader in strategy development who anticipates industry trends. Experience defining and delivering competitive sales strategies.Experience navigating complex customer, industry and stakeholder dynamics and developing innovative sales strategies to drive business results.Proven leader with experience retaining, attracting and motivating best-in-class talent.Demonstrated history of success in forging and developing excellent relationships with key clients and stakeholders.Proven ability to build, manage, and motivate high performing teams.Bachelor’s degree preferred; Masters a plus.

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $240,000- $320,000 (sales incentive commission and long-term incentive eligible)
