Vice President, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital & Data Strategy
Drive the strategic direction and execution of VSP Vision’s AI initiatives, digital transformation efforts, and enterprise-wide data analytics projects.

Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with business objectives.  Lead the development and execution of VSP Vision’s AI strategy, including identifying opportunities for AI adoption, overseeing AI projects, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Lead the identification of AI opportunities across various functions and oversee the implementation of AI solutions to drive efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage.  Explore cutting-edge AI technologies and methodologies to enhance products, services, and processes. 

Lead the digital transformation journey by developing and implementing strategies to enhance digital capabilities across the organization.  Drive the adoption of emerging technologies and digital best practices to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue growth by capturing new market opportunities. 

Develop and execute a holistic data analytics strategy to unlock insights from vast and complex data sets. Lead initiatives to enhance data governance, quality, and accessibility while driving the adoption of advanced analytics techniques and capabilities, including predictive modeling, data visualization, and machine learning, to uncover actionable insights and drive business performance.

Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on AI, digital, and data-related matters, driving alignment and consensus across the organization.

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI, digital strategy, and data analytics. Evaluate potential technology vendors, partners, and platforms to support strategic initiatives and business goals.

Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of AI, digital, and data analytics initiatives. Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership to track progress, identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous optimization.

Deliver on necessary systematic improvements, including significant legal/compliance risk mitigation and fraud reduction, for the organization.  Work with key stakeholders to ensure adherence to data retention policies across the enterprise.

Build and lead a high-performing team and high performing organization.  Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to nurture talent and foster a culture of inclusion, innovation and collaboration. 

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Ten years of experience in AI, digital strategy, and enterprise data analytics, with a proven track record of leadership and achievement in similar roles

Ten or more years of experience with clear progression to senior leadership/management roles, leading and motivating cross-functional interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals

Deep expertise in AI technologies, digital platforms, and data analytics methodologies, with a strong understanding of their application in business contexts

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization

Strategic mindset with a focus on driving results and delivering tangible business impact through innovative AI, digital, and data-driven initiatives

Strong, demonstrated skills in implementing technology to achieve business objectives

Demonstrated strategic planning capabilities

Ability to balance priorities across multiple stakeholders and to stay focused on results that move the needle on the companies’ strategic goals

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Clean credit history as reported by credit report

Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties
