Your background
Education:
Bachelors’ Degree preferably in accounting, finance or related field and Professional Audit or Accounting Certification (e.g. CA)Work experience:
At least 12-15 years of relevant work experience, with focus on audit (internal audit. Strong mid-career change candidates with no audit experience might be considered (solid operational, front office or control function working experience).Personal skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work with people across different organization levels and diverse backgrounds (especially in dealing with senior stakeholders)Critical and independent thinking with ability to exercise sound judgment.Proactive and positive attitude; excellent attention to details; able to perform effectively under pressure.Product knowledge:
Sound knowledge and experience in regulatory interactions / governance processesStrong understanding of RBI / SEBI regulationsStrong business acumen and sound knowledge of Corporate Banking business, GTS business, internal controls, products and a strong understanding of India regulations (SEBI & RBI)Understanding of Global Markets business will be a plusLanguage skills:

Corporate Audit is an independent function that reports to the Audit Committee of the Bank of America Corporation. We provide independent assessment and validation of the effectiveness of key processes and controls across the Company. We are a team of approximately 900 auditors globally based in the US, EMEA, APAC and Latin America.

What you will do
The role involves supporting the India Audit head in handling all regulatory inspections, represent audit in key governance forums and managing key stakeholder relationships.
In particular:
Assist to develop the India audit plan (e.g. audit scope, coverage strategy) based on detailed evaluation of process/business risks and controls and local regulatory requirements Perform and document the execution of specific audit procedures as defined by the projects’ objectives and planned audit approach. Communicate audit results to impacted stakeholders in an accurate, timely and professional manner to guide the issue acceptance and resolution process. Lead/assist with drafting quality and timely audit reports supporting audit opinions and share results with audit and business leaders.Represent audit in key governance forums and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including concurrent and statutory audit teamBe a key contributor by participating and leading in local and regional audits for Corporate Banking, Global Transaction Services (GTS), Global Markets and Operations. We expect the individual to work as an individual contributor / Lead an Audit (Audit In-Charge) to conduct testing independently and with the opportunity to lead a local /regional audit teamLead/assist with drafting quality and timely audit reports supporting audit opinions and share results with audit and business leaders.Demonstrate professionalism and competence. Stay informed of current economic developments, applicable local India regulations, risk, processes, and controls relevant to the businesses supported.Exercise critical and out of box thinking, analytical skills and professional judgment to influence business partners, senior business managers and peers. Help business partners to balance their business strategy with appropriate risk management controls.
