Make your mark in Information Technology

The team is responsible for shielding the company’s systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable AIG’s businesses to achieve their goals. AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance.
How you will create an impact
AIG is looking for a driven individual to assume a critical role within the Data Office, leading the technical foundations of our BI Delivery strategies. This role will be responsible for working directly with senior data and technology leaders and partnering with key business partners in the roll-out of a newly implemented Business Intelligence operating framework, including establishing technical and visualization standards, overseeing and assessing BI architectural patterns, and managing a governance model aligned with the implementation.
+ Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills, and innovative rigor
+ Thought leader – ability to define technical implementation approaches to complex BI deliverables
+ Has advanced knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, and skills in domain and the most advanced understanding of Business Intelligence Delivery practices
+ Advanced ability to consult with business stakeholders to design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions.
+ Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools and advanced analytics software.
+ Has advanced knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, and skills in domain and the most advanced understanding of specialized technologies and practices.
+ Strong business acumen and understanding of P&C insurance metrics and financials
+ Strong organizational skills including proven ability to drive medium to large projects/programs of work
+ Ability to consult and interact effectively with all levels of the organization and develop strong business partnerships
+ Working knowledge of data management, business intelligence, and data warehousing.
+ Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.
+ Strong execution and analytical skills
+ Ability to lead a team effectively without organizational alignment
+ Strong program and project management skills
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and with changing priorities
What you’ll need to succeed
+ 15+ years in technology field / programming / tool design and development and a minimum of 8-10 years in managerial/leadership position
+ At least 10 years must be in a financial services or insurance industry
+ Degree from a four-year college or university, MS is preferred.
+ Strong problem-solving ability - candidate needs to exhibit structured thinking, attention to details, and analytical skills and process orientations.
