Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity for a Business Control Risk Analysis Specialist to join our EMEA GPS business to drive and execute compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.

Key responsibilities include providing support for audits, tracking open issues, managing operational losses reporting, risk assessments, Single Process Inventory (SPI) overview and analytical and administrative support for the Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF) specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards.

The role leads and provides oversight on key regional governance processes including running the Business Control forum for GPS EMEA and assisting the business by facilitating meetings and information sharing between key stakeholders, Product and GPS Risk partners, business control partners and other control functions (Global Compliance and Operational Risk (GCOR), audit, etc).

Role activities and responsibilities may include:

Key partner to COO, Global Banking Risk, Global Financial Crimes Committee (GFCC), GCOR and other non-LOB partners on all GPS EMEA Business controls matters.

Work in close coordination with regional and global Product and Sales teams to ensure identification, reporting, escalation, and timely resolution of issues (SIAIs/RIAIs/AIAIs/MRAs), watch items, and other audit items.

Manage audit engagement by assisting business segments, process owners and auditors by facilitating meetings and information sharing between key stakeholders during audits.

Support the overall management of and research required for managing operational loss events, and support governance activities for operational event reporting.

Support the monitoring and testing of controls including Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) and Risk ID activities.

Ensure accurate documentation of processes, controls, and metrics in the system of record including reporting and oversight reviews.

Support SPI activities and work with process owners and control partners to resolve challenges and issues related to SPI. In addition, working with the LOB to identify and address areas of opportunities.

Support GPSs adherence to enterprise-wide standards.

Active participation in the key governance forums including Business Control forums, Regulatory Initiative forums, Product & Sales level governance forums, Legal Entity Governance Routines (e.g. Bank of America National Association and Bank of America Europe DAC).

Develop and manage strong relationships with the business segments, and Control Partners, ensuring partnership on all deliverables.

What we are looking for

Significant experience in controls function roles including issue management, Operational losses, Risk ID/Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA), Single Process Inventory (SPI), Quality Assurance or independent testing.

Strong risk mindset with process and controls background; actively debate and escalate issues and concerns.

Ability to ensure adherence to Risk Frameworks, regulations, policies, standards and procedures.

Proven track record in being able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly matrix and complex environment.

Strong ability to communicate (written and verbal) with internal and external partners.

Proven analytical, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Ability to multi-task, set goals/prioritise and meet deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders, promoting change.

Detail oriented with strong analytical, process, project management and organisational skills.
