As part of the Global Services Group (GSG), the Global Consumer Servicing & Fulfilment (GCSF) organization is a team of 10,000 dedicated colleagues and partners who put our customers at the center of everything they do. GCSF consists of Customer Care Professionals, leaders and support teams who work to deliver extraordinary service every day to American Express consumer Card Members around the world. The teams are in more than 20 countries and span frontline operations, servicing strategy and partner management. Global Partner & Operational Support (GPOS) is a global team consisting of more than 3,000 colleagues and partners (who manage strategic 3rd party servicing (risk) relationships and deliver customer value & efficiency across both servicing and business marketing teams) – all centered around Customer First priorities. The role of Vice President, Central Infrastructure (CI) is a key member of the Global Partner & Operational Support (GPOS) leadership team and will be responsible for leading a global diverse team of high-performing professionals that play a pivotal role in supporting all aspects of the lifecycle of the Partner. The incumbent will be focused on managing risk & compliance and contracting across this large partner portfolio through extensive collaboration with multiple colleagues and external 3rd party partners across multiple business units, functional areas and geographies. **Responsibilities:** + Expertise in process governance, with a track record of establishing and overseeing robust decision-making processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards + Ability to lead & motivate a global diverse team of high-performing professionals that play a pivotal role in partnering & advocating for key areas throughout the enterprise to drive business growth + Contribute to and influence overall partner strategy and customer experience across servicing functions supporting both GSG and the business. + Develop strategies that protect and safeguard AXP assets through eliminating, reducing or mitigating operational risk + Lead the E2E third-party partner lifecycle and manage all GPOS contracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risk + Provide partner oversight and governance leading contract adherence, testing, and governance activities to enable best in class performance while mitigating the risks associated with managing third parties + Lead and project manage partner dependent projects with high execution and efficiency alongside key internal stakeholders, i.e. American Express Technology, Capabilities, etc. with a changing market environment to ensure strategic operational objectives are achieved + Provide partner system oversight, requirements, design, testing, production and issue/outage management + Enhancing Control Management and optimization for GPOS by setting up a foundational governance structure that ensures operational risks are identified, assessed, and managed in compliance with enterprise Control Management programs and reporting + Extensive collaboration with multiple stakeholders (Global Supply Management, Information Security, etc) across AXP, numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies **Qualifications:** + Proven risk & compliance experience with a deep understanding and passion for servicing functions + Ability to strategically influence risk management across at all levels + Proven track record of leading large, complex, global teams & delivering outstanding results + Strategic thought leadership with a high level of intellectual curiosity, a capacity for original and innovative ideas, and an ability to assess business objectives to define, plan, and implement effective solutions + Excellent team leadership behaviors including empowering others to succeed by developing talent, building followership, and encouraging collaboration + Exceptional relationship management, with the demonstrated ability to organize and bring colleagues together across multiple lines of business in pursuit of a common goal + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfortable in working with senior leaders to influence decisions and change + Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely + Experience within financial services industry + Self-starter with a strong affinity for driving change **Qualifications** Salary Range: $185,000.00 to $260,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
