What is the opportunity?

Support senior CLO New Issue professionals in managing the CLO syndication process, and at times, the CLO warehouse financing process.

What will you do? 

Principal Responsibilities

To support the origination and execution activities of RBC’s new issue CLO effortWork with the RBC sales force to help educate them on product, current transactions in market, and trends in CLO structuresPrepare systems needed to execute a CLO syndicate processExecute and prepare sales tickets coordinating with sales and trading teams for settlement of tradesPrepare and distribute P&L reportsGenerate and maintain issuance data base and analytics associated with historic executionAssist with special ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assignedProactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies in the businessReview and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activitiesEscalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis.Role supports global business and requires attention to detail on transactions

Key Relationships

High Yield/Leveraged Loan Clients – These are CLO managers we will be working with on a regular basisABS/CLO Sales – Key distribution members for the CLO productsSyndicate Professionals

Working Conditions

Work in fast paced, trading floor environment in NYC with a typical 5 day work weekThere may be the need to travel to visit clients and attend conferences.

What do you need to succeed?

Strong analytic and quantitative skills – able to analyze numbers very wellFamiliarity/comfort with BloombergStrong MS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint are requiredStrong written and oral communications – comfort dealing with multiple counterparties in a high paced environmentAbility to prioritize work flows and multi-task responsibilities including working for and with multiple peoplePositive attitude with a strong desire to help the desk achieve highest level of standards in all facets and functions with a willingness to perform beyond what is askedSolid understanding of HY Leveraged Loan / Structured Credit & Products / Mortgage ProductsMust have a strong desire to build profitable, trusting and long-term customer partnershipsMust be consummate team player with a can-do attitudeMinimum of 5 years’ experience in CLO/CDO or other structured productsSeries 7/63

The good-faith expected salary for the above position is $225,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.  This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
