Citibank, N.A. seeks a Vice President, Corporate Banking for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Perform as a relationship banker to Citi’s Corporate Banking clients. Provide solutions ranging from raising capital, deploying capital and managing working capital, oversee business development and product offering including Cash Management, Trade Working Capital and Trade Services, Lending, Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions, Project Financing and Hedging solutions in the FX and commodities spectrum. Apply internal credit policies for obtaining Credit and Capital approvals for client portfolios. Liable for the Know Your Customer policies and procedures as well as ensuring that the clients covered in the portfolio are fully compliant with firm requirements. Coordinate with product and operations teams for the execution of client transactions as well as Account Management and Account Services to ensure coverage of client needs. Engage with the existing portfolio of global clients invested in the North America region to source more transaction flow business and episodic deals. Update clients with market related updates and advise them on risk hedging strategies – foreign exchange, commodities and interest rates. Deployment of bank’s capital within various clients and within a client amongst various products to achieve the desired returns on the portfolio. Translate strategy into an effective and efficient Corporate Bank business plan and drive a healthy balance between near-term and long-term priorities. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance or related field and 5 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience as a Banker, Analyst, Management Associate or related position working with corporate banking products for a global financial services institution. 5 years of experience must include: Managing a portfolio of clients; Cross-selling banking products, including cash management, trade finance, trade services, structured trade products, foreign exchange, commodities, fixed income, syndicated and bilateral loans and capital market products to institutional clients; Advise clients on capital structure, transaction banking, fund raising and capital markets; Working with lending and credit approval processes to perform risk and credit assessments; Working across all credit aspects of the relationship including annual reviews, early problem recognition and remedial management; Managing global client organizations and identifying key buying centers; Evaluating research reports, business plans and financials forecasts to produce strategic advisory to clients; Analyzing models used to forecast client operating and financial performance; and Evaluating business, financial performance and key credit drivers across various industries. 30% international and domestic travel required.
