About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President of Corporate Communications to spearhead our global communications strategy, elevate Workhuman’s brand to new heights, and craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. This strategic leader will be instrumental in positioning Workhuman as the definitive authority in the HR technology space, driving innovation in how we engage with global media, analysts, and key stakeholders. They will also amplify the thought leadership of our executive team, ensuring our CEO’s voice and vision are prominently showcased on major international stages and leading podcasts, and influencing the global conversation about the future of work.
This role requires a trailblazer who thrives at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and execution, building a communications function that shapes perceptions, drives business outcomes, and inspires confidence among all stakeholders.
**This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week onsite in our (brand new) Framingham, MA office**
Key Responsibilities:
Global Public Relations (PR)
Develop and execute a comprehensive global PR strategy to elevate the Workhuman brand visibility, particularly in the HR tech industry.
Cultivate strong media relationships across target regions to ensure broad coverage and positive brand perception.
Drive strategic messaging across all public relations initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and brand voice
Lead the crisis management strategy and be the primary point of contact for crisis communication, ensuring a swift, effective response to protect the company’s reputation.
Develop proactive contingency plans and lead media response during times of crisis.
Global Analyst Relations
Drive and elevate Workhuman's global analyst relations strategy, cultivating and strengthening deep, impactful relationships with key HR industry analysts. This role will position Workhuman as the #1 in Recognition in the HR technology landscape by proactively engaging analysts with compelling briefings, insights, workshops, market-leading innovations, and strategic narratives that influence industry perceptions, shape market trends, and solidify Workhuman’s standing as a trusted authority in the future of work.
Develop strategies to influence analysts’ perception and recommendations of the myriad of Workhuman marketing events and collateral, driving recognition in relevant reports and market analyses.
Bring, build, and maintain a direct relationships with leading influencers and key personalities sharing the HR landscape to include industry leading speakers, thought-leaders, podcasters, and event properties.
Executive Communication – Founder Brand
Partner with the CEO to build and manage a powerful, authentic founder brand, showcasing our CEO’s thought leadership and expertise in HR technology and his mission to make work human.
Identify and secure opportunities on prestigious global stages for the CEO to represent the Workhuman brand, including high-profile industry conferences, panels, podcasts, and keynotes.
Oversee the creation of impactful presentations, speeches, and executive content that amplifies the CEO’s voice and aligns with our brand’s vision.
Develop and oversee the external executive communication strategy, ensuring cohesive narratives and compelling profiles for C-Suite leaders to amplify their impact and align with organizational goals
People & Agency Leadership
Lead and inspire a diverse, global communications team across Ireland, the US, and the UK, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Drive employee development through mentorship, feedback, and performance management, building a high-performing team equipped to meet global business needs.
Oversee and manage relationships with agencies and speaker agents, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, efficient collaboration, and optimal delivery of services
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 15+ years in corporate communications, with extensive experience in global PR, analyst relations, and executive communications preferably within the HR tech industry.
Proven track record of successfully managing CEO/executive communication and brand building on a global scale.
Exceptional crisis management skills, with demonstrated experience managing complex communications challenges.
Strong people and agency leadership skills, with a history of leading, developing, and empowering high-performing teams and supporting agencies from scope creation to quality delivery
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills.
