**About this role**
**Job Purpose** : An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Vice President to join BlackRock’s Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team based in London. This 2LoD role encompasses both advisory responsibilities and programme implementation and delivery. The role holder will support the UK and wider EMEA FCC team in executing the FCC programme. The position requires a deep understanding of UK and EU regulatory requirements within asset management and the ability to manage a financial crime compliance programme across all key financial crime risks (e.g., money laundering, fraud, bribery and corruption). There will be a particular focus on complex intermediaries, high-risk clients, and new products across EMEA.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Serve as the primary point of escalation and advice for complex financial crime-related queries, particularly concerning complex intermediaries, high-risk clients, and new products and technologies across EMEA.
**-** Assess new products and services to identify potential financial crime risks and ensure regulatory compliance and participate in new business approval and other relevant committees or working groups to represent FCC perspectives and provide advice.
**-** Collaborate with stakeholders, including MLROs in local offices across EMEA, business lines, operations, and other legal and compliance teams, to identify and manage crystallised or emerging financial crime compliance risks in relation to complex situations.
-Lead the creation of a new business-wide risk assessment programme across the region to ensure effectiveness and regulatory alignment.
-Assist with all other aspects of the FCC programme, as needed, such as preparation of MI and reports to senior management, regulatory and audit engagement, review and approval of high risk clients, design and delivery of tailored training and communications.
-Support ad-hoc global and regional business or financial crime compliance driven projects that require FCC SME input.
**Candidate Requirements:**
-2LoD financial crime advisory experience, preferably within asset management.
-Comprehensive knowledge of UK and EU financial crime legislation and regulations, with hands-on experience in key financial crime risks (e.g., money laundering, bribery and corruption, sanctions, fraud).
-Proven experience in developing financial crime programs and collaborating with business and operations teams to enhance efficiency.
-Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to effectively influence stakeholders and explain complex situations.
-Active and effective participant in meetings.
-Familiarity with digital assets and emerging technologies is advantageous.
-University degree and relevant industry certifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS).
