Vice President, Enterprise Business Applications
**Job Description** The Vice President of Enterprise Business Applications serves as one of the executive leaders in the Digital and Technology Partners (DTP) organization and is responsible for driving the strategic vision of the Enterprise Business Applications function. The scope includes human resources, finance, supply chain, credentialing, time & attendance, IT service management, and other back-office and corporate service applications. This candidate will report directly to the Senior Vice President (SVP), Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) to drive the target state vision and manage daily operations. This role will also be responsible for driving the ERP strategy and implementation efforts, and lead, manage, and track other key initiatives within the organization. The VP will closely partner with both technology and business leadership across the health system to ensure alignment on objectives and outcomes. This role will help enhance the quality of services provided to our stakeholders by providing business guidance on tools, services, and solutions and tracking value realization and performance. The salary range for this role is $250,000.00 - $350,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. Non-Bargaining Unit **Responsibilities** **Provide leadership and strategy around Enterprise Business Applications function** + Define and monitor the execution of the Enterprise Business Applications roadmap to achieve target state vision. + Drive and monitor key initiatives (e.g., Oracle ERP implementation, Kronos implementation) and the execution and value realization of strategic initiatives in alignment with business objectives. + Lead transformation efforts and oversee organizational change management for changes being implemented to the Enterprise Business Applications organizational structure and operating model. + Manage day to day operations in partnership with the SVP/CIO/CMIO. + Manage and support cloud-based portfolios delivered via a SaaS model. + Monitor metrics program to measure, track, and improve performance of Enterprise Business Applications function. + Support planning and management of business continuity and disaster recovery for the Enterprise Business Applications function and applications in partnership with the Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery team. + Develop and maintain sourcing strategy for the Enterprise Business Applications function. + Provide oversight and support the IT components of payroll and inventory systems. + Work closely with business counterparts and executive leadership to ensure alignment, manage expectations, and track progress on key initiatives. + Strive to reduce costs and improve services through new technologies, automation, creative sourcing, and other innovative methods. + Manage relevant vendors and set appropriate vendor performance expectations and targets. + Develop and manage Enterprise Business Applications operating expense budgets and capital budgets. + Identify and oversee continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and achieving year-on-year reductions in the budget. + Ensure that all practices and policies related to corporate services are free from bias and discrimination. + Identify, manage, and resolve key risks and issues. + Keep abreast of latest trends, best practices, and technologies. + Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA and SOX **Develop and manage a world-class team** + Be a leader with a passion for Enterprise Business Applications who can strengthen credibility for the Enterprise Business Applications team within the organization. + Champion and advocate for workforce excellence by promoting and developing staff. + Develop a resilient team ensuring high levels of employee engagement, operations performance excellence, and succession planning. + Coach direct reports as they build strategies and roadmaps. + Create and foster career development and growth paths for team members in alignment with company and personal objectives. + Assist direct reports with ongoing prioritization and resource allocation to ensure that the crucial business initiatives are delivered. + Utilize leadership skills, problem solving and decision-making skills to facilitate and encourage participation of team members to meet objectives in congruence with approved standards and guidelines. + Establish a mindset for delivering actionable insights and trusted information to business stakeholders. + Manage remote and on-site work teams to ensure performance, staff engagement, and service excellence. **Participate actively as a leader within the Mount Sinai Health System** + Serve as an Enterprise Business Applications representative in Mount Sinai leadership teams, committees, etc. + Collaborate with DTP leadership peers to share leading practices and install a culture of continuous improvement. + Confront racist, sexist or other inappropriate behavior and challenge exclusionary organizational practices and serving as a role model to promote anti-racist behaviors. + Execute select strategic innovation initiatives as directed by the SVP/CIO/CMIO. + Ensure that all regulatory and auditing guidelines are followed, and solid business practices are implemented. + Support overall enterprise and DTP initiatives as needed. **EXPERIENCE:** + Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, public health or related field; or equivalent work experience. + Ten or more years in technology / IT + Five to seven years in leadership responsibilities + Experience in digital transformation and implementation mandatory (preferably ERP ) + Demonstrated record of workflow redesign and automation + Experience in project and program management required + Minimum five years of experience with hospital or healthcare provider + Experience leading remote/hybrid work teams preferred. **About Us** **Strength Through Diversity** The Mount Sinai Health System believes that diversity, equity, and inclusion are key drivers for excellence.
