Job Description:

The Quantitative Strategies and Data Group (QSDG) is seeking a VP for a Hong Kong based role covering the Equity Algo/Electronic Trading business.

Primarily focusing on Algo research and trading system development, Trading Cost Analysis and provide data and analytics report for Algo risk and governance.

The role requires strong technical skills and an ability to work directly with trading, coverage, product team and external clients in a fast paced environment, to help deliver on the strategic objectives for the equity business. Strong communication skills and an ability to work both individually and part of a team is a must.

In this role you will:

Design and research on Algo strategies, optimization and back testing on Algo parameters settingWorking with technology team together to develop/code the Algo trading systemGenerate the TCA report for clients and optimize and customize Algo parameters for Algo performance enhancementProvide the report and build analytics tool for Algo surveillance on data, governance and risk control

Required Skills:

Bachelors/Masters/PhD in technical discipline (Computer Science/Applied Mathematics/Physics/Engineering/Statistics)Strong mathematical, programming, analytical and data skills. Familiarity with data structuresFamiliarity with object oriented and functional programming (C++/Java preferred)Working knowledge of relational/column-based databases (Kdb preferred)Excellent writing and verbal communication skills – able to present complex material in a simple mannerExperience working in a front-office role is beneficialExperience with machine learning techniques a plus
