Vice President, Finance

The Vice President, Finance will be a strategic partner to the President and the executive leadership team, providing financial leadership, insights, and guidance to drive the company's growth and profitability. As a key member of the leadership team, the VP, Finance will be responsible for developing and executing financial strategies, overseeing all financial operations, and managing risks to ensure the organization's long-term financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Partnering: 

Collaborate and partner with the executive team to set strategic financial goals and objectives, including but not limited to product, technology, commercial operations & customer success teams. Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making. Assess the financial impact of new business initiatives and potential investments. Drive financial planning and analysis to identify growth opportunities and cost efficiencies. Support organic and inorganic innovation initiatives through financial modelling. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance. Partner with various stakeholders at Hearst parent to ensure alignment on strategy and execution.

2. Financial Management:

Develop and manage the company's financial strategy, long-range planning, budgets, and forecasts. Oversee day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and cash management. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial best practices. Optimize the company's capital structure and manage financial resources efficiently. Evaluate and recommend financial systems and tools to enhance financial operations.

3. Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks to protect the company's assets. Implement effective internal controls, contract management and compliance processes. Develop and execute risk management strategies to safeguard financial stability. Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes affecting the healthcare software and services sector.

4. Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Recruit, train, and develop finance professionals to support the company's growth. Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment between finance and other departments.

Qualification Requirements: 

Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. Proven experience as a VP of Finance or in a senior financial leadership role within the healthcare or software industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of healthcare industry dynamics, regulations, and trends. Excellent leadership and team management skills  Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance and manage risk in a privately held company. Proficiency in financial software and systems (NetSuite, Sage, Oracle, OpenAir, etc).

Education/Certification Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field CPA required

Proficiency Requirements:

Proven experience as a VP or in a senior financial leadership role within the healthcare or healthcare software industry. Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance and manage risk in a privately held company.

Location Requirements:

Hybrid work environment.  The ideal candidate will be expected to collaborate onsite in our Tampa office on a weekly basis (minimum 3 days per week) All prospective candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug screening.
