Ultragenyx is potentially entering a period of tremendous revenue growth and sustainable profitability driven by multiple near-term product launches. The company is seeking a VP of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with a passion to inform and influence decision making through data-driven insights and an ability to expertly frame resource allocation decisions. Candidates must be outstanding collaborators and communicators, with robust analytical skills, and willing to lead strategically while rolling up their sleeves to get things done.
Work Model:Flex: This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week, or more depending on business needs. In many locations, the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite.

Responsibilities: Strategic thought partner to leaders across the company constantly striving to understand business drivers and their implications and seeking to inform and influence decision making Lead annual financial planning processes including long-range planning, budgeting, and budget updates, while assessing and preparing for alternate scenarios and ensuring integration with other business processes and with corporate strategy Lead monthly budget vs actual reporting, including analysis of variance root causes and identification of solutions in partnership with the business Develop standard and ad hoc management reports by identifying and tracking leading indicators and other critical business drivers Lead high-performing global FP&A team Work seamlessly with other finance functions and other G&A functions including collaborating closely with Accounting to meet our reporting and compliance obligations, partnering with Corporate Strategy on valuation modelling and scenario analyses, and supporting Business Development on transaction modelling Represent Finance function in governance decision forums, steering committees, etc. Maximize the impact of financial systems Promote a mindset of simplification, standardization where warranted, and continuous improvement Requirements: BS and/or master’s degree in finance, business, accounting, mathematics, or related fields 15+ years of FP&A experience, preferably with a substantial portion in a growing, profitable, public biopharma company Demonstrated ability to design and lead organizations though financial processes resulting in strategically aligned plans Demonstrated ability to partner with colleagues at all levels and influence others without authority Outstanding analytical, modelling, problem solving, listening, and communication skills Passion to identify ways to fundamentally change the productivity of spend (dollars and time) Demonstrated ability to build and motivate high-performing teams Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be assertive when needed Unquestionable ethics and integrity #LI-CK1 #LI-HybridThe typical annual salary range for this full-time position is listed below. This range reflects the characteristics of the job, such as required skills and qualifications and is based on the office location noted in this job posting. The range may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible for annual bonus and equity incentives. Actual individual pay is determined by demonstrated experience and internal equity alignment.
