Job Description

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for this position would include, among other things:

Analysis of complex accounting transactions, including but not limited to, acquisitions, dispositions and corporate reorganizations

Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial results, disclosures and financial statement in accordance with IFRS for BBU and other Brookfield reporting issuers with interests in private equity assets

Oversee the quarterly production of BBU’s IFRS disclosures, ensuring correct application of amendments to existing standards and the adoption of new standards, including incoming ESG reporting requirements

Review the preparation of MD&A, including the use of BBU’s non-GAAP measures

Coordinate with portfolio company finance teams on all technical accounting matters and onboarding following initial acquisition, including roll-out of new or amended accounting standards

Understand differences between IFRS and local GAAP used by portfolio companies Liaise with internal/ external auditors, internal/ external counsel, investor relations, FP&A, and other functional finance teams as necessary

Provide recommendations on process improvement initiatives, including adoption of technological initiatives to support the financial reporting function

Assist in the preparation of financial reporting to support capital market transactions, including securities offerings

Actively coach team members

Special projects as assigned

Requirements:

This position offers excellent opportunities in a dynamic environment. To qualify, candidates must have:

University degree

CPA, CA designation with a background in public company accounting/auditing, with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience;

Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS;

Demonstrated leadership ability, initiative and be a team player;

Superior communication (English oral and written) and interpersonal skills;

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment;

Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability;

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines;

Self-motivated and proactive, with respect to both managing workload and professional development.
