**Overview**
**Job Title: Vice President, General Manager**
**Job Location: Williamsport, PA**
The position reports to the COO and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Williamsport business including but not limited to preparing reports, forecasts and setting strategic and operational goals. Additionally, the VP GM will act as the primary liaison to various Stellant Enterprise peers to ensure compliance with established corporate policies and procedures. This role must have the ability to perform the essential duties & responsibilities described herein without detailed external oversight. The duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but are not limited to the following.
**Responsibilities**
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Participate in establishing and administering company policies, directing, and coordinating activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives.
+ Helps Implement systems, software, and other tools necessary to support and grow the business.
+ Develop, review, update and implement business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance, and new product development.
+ Review analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.
+ Review and approve preparation of accounting analysis for budgetary planning and implementation, production efficiency, financial reporting, etc.
+ Oversee key projects, processes, audits and performance reports, data, and analysis.
+ Participate in proposal strategy (bid/no-bid) and pricing to ensure adequate returns on sales.
+ Manage and direct overall operations including review of production and operating departments to resolve manufacturing and facility problems to prevent operational delays and/or to meet future growth.
+ Support Engineering and Business Development to oversee design concepts with fundamental or new technology used for new or existing products or improvement to facilitate cost reduction, customer requirements and market growth.
+ Manage staff across the broad disciplines of Operations, Engineering, Accounting, Program Management, Quality, and other administrative areas.
+ Oversees the hiring, training, and movement of staff as needed, as well as handling all employee relations issues.
**Performance Measurements:**
The Division VPGM’s success in achieving the above objectives will be measured by the following:
+ Profitability of existing business as well as expected profitability of booked new business (margin).
+ Operational excellence and cost-effective use of capital (cost).
+ Financial acumen resulting in exceeding financial goals and beating expectations (financial performance).
+ Business Development savvy with BD processes designed to maximize profitable new business opportunities (new revenue).
+ Ensure a motivated, high-performing, and accountable team for achieving their business goals (organizational excellence).
**Qualifications**
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge and skills:
+ 15+ years of diverse aerospace and electronics manufacturing leadership experience in business development, program management, engineering, operations, and/or lean manufacturing.
+ Familiar with products and services used in military and commercial communication products.
+ Strong track record of strategic and operational performance.
+ 7-10 years of diversified, commercial and defense general management experience in $100m - $250m single site or multi-location business.
+ Strong P&L financial acumen, pricing acumen and margin improvement experience.
+ Excellent balance sheet and cash flow management experience.
+ Broad mix of growth and turn-around general management experience.
+ Experience with successful improvements in manufacturing operations, supply chain and vendor management.
+ Experience with the U.S. Government and/or Department of Defense FAR/DFAR regulations as well as international (ITAR and FMS).
+ Prior private equity backed business experience is desired.
+ Demonstrated track record of turning around a business and instilling work class processes and process discipline.
+ Minimum 10 years leadership experience in a site with more $50M in revenue.
+ Strong background in CI (LEAN) preferred.
+ Secret Clearance required, Top Secret preferred, SCI is a plus.
