Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge:

Applicant must have a recognized Degree in Information Technology, or related discipline from a recognized university/higher learning institution.With at least 15 years of experience in IT management.Over 5 years of working experience at management level and managing a team of around 10 members is desirable.Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by previous professional successes.Able to forge strong relationships in both internally and externally at all levels.Knowledge and understanding of the digital and data landscape as well as emerging technologies.Balancing the IT budget and staying on top of technological advance.Monitoring progress on development projects, ensuring the reliability of computerized information systems and preparing new projects and programming staff requirements.Proven ability in successfully designing and implementing large-scale complex change initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic

Develop in collaboration with the Regional ASO leadership team and the Local Management members an annual operating plan and mid-term business plan (MTBP) that supports Philippines’s long term Information Technology and Systems strategy.Assist the businesses in overseeing the long-term business strategies of the Bank.Develop and lead department's plan to enhance systems and build capability in the team to align to the Bank’s direction / vision.Ensure the smooth and strategic implementation of New Core Banking System.To lead business transformation / digitalization in Philippines from System and Operational perspectives.

Financial

Responsible for the management of budget planning and usage control for system investment and expense of Philippines, and for any other expenditures / investments including human capital resources in Technology/Systems departments.Enhance cost competitiveness and return of I.T. investments, aligning with global and regional strategy to improve efficiency.

Customer

Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within MUFG and externally, representing MUFG in local industry conferences and public events, promoting the MUFG brand.Work in partnership with Regional Office to seek guidance on regional projects, polices and processes as well as support implementation within Philippines.Work in partnership with colleagues across various departments to support the implementation of global, regional or local projects at a country level.Influence other local senior management members to support and approve the implementation of proposed enhancements.Act as a trusted advisor to Local senior managements on I.T. related topics as well as banking operations.Work with colleagues across various departments to review current business process and to lead further upgrade in digitization.Work in partnership with colleagues across various departments to understand IT software, hardware or network needs in Philippines and oversee complex solutions developed by the team.Work in partnership with IT vendors to manage the relationship with the vendor and to ensure quality service provided to the Bank.

People

Support, coach, and guide team members on complex issues.Act as a role model to team members and adhere to all company policies/ guidelines.Maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining, and motivating a diverse group of quality employees at all levels.Act as an Ambassador and adhere to all company policies / guidelines.To maintain robust succession plans, especially for key roles within IT Departments, and ensure that there are talent pipelines for them.

Control

Enhance I.T. governance in the country, aligning with global and regional strategy.Assess and manage the principal risks of the Bank’s business within IT Departments including human capital, resources allocation, projects, and initiatives.Manage partnerships with external support vendors to ensure successful execution of SLAs and underpinning contracts.Formulate, review, and implement various banking IT standards and procedures in response to changing legislation, regulations, and standards.Oversee and/or lead complex departmental initiatives to drive process improvement / efficiency. To be a primary point of accountability for carrying the legal risk in case of any breach.Work closely with the Risk and Compliance areas and leadership to smooth out the implementations on risk management or compliance-based requirements.Work in partnership with Compliance to understand local regulations and identify training, process, and workflow changes to meet regulatory requirements.Chairs the IT steering Committee (ITSC)Oversee the investigation of system downtime incidents in Philippines and support the team to resolve in a timely manner to meet regulatory requirements.
