Progyny is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions to drive the transformative growth of our business. This individual will lead the identification, evaluation and execution of strategic acquisitions to expand our impact in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate is a seasoned M&A professional with a proven track record of executing successful transactions for similar organizations and a passion for leveraging M&A to accelerate Progyny’s growth

What you will do... 

M&A Strategy Execution: Execute the company’s M&A strategy, aligned with corporate objectives and growth goals. Identify target markets, industries, and companies that fit the organization's strategic priorities.  Deal Sourcing and Relationship Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of acquisition opportunities through relationships with investment banks, advisors, and industry contacts. Evaluate potential targets and establish connections with key stakeholders.  Due Diligence: Lead and coordinate all aspects of the due diligence process, including financial, operational, legal, and commercial evaluations.  Transaction Execution: Negotiate deal terms, structure transactions, and oversee the development of contracts and agreements. Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for smooth transaction execution.  Financial Analysis and Valuation: Conduct detailed financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis to support decision-making.  Assess potential synergies, risks, and financial impacts of transactions.  Integration Planning and Execution: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement post-transaction integration plans. Ensure seamless operational, cultural, and financial integration of acquired entities.  Market and Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities and anticipate challenges. Provide strategic recommendations based on market intelligence. 

 

About you... 

Minimum 10 years of experience in M&A within a Corporate Development function or similar function within an organization with a proven track record of executing complex transactions  Investment Banking experience is required; experience working at a top-tier hedge fund is preferred.  Leadership experience, including responsibility for business results in a fast-paced, multi-function environment.  Strong understanding of financial analysis tools, valuation techniques, and due diligence processes.  Exceptional negotiation and deal-making skills to secure favorable terms for acquisitions.  In-depth knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for growth. High degree of maturity with a proven ability to interact with senior executives, private equity firms, lenders, lawyers, middle managers and line workers  Effectively communicates analysis through Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint including high-quality messaging, structure and formatting

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $225,000 - $250,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
