Vice President, Operations

We’re focused on driving the maximum value for our people, our capabilities and our media investments for some of the world’s leading brands. **Overview** The VP, Finance Operations will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of client accounts. This leadership role combines strategic financial management, client relationship oversight, and team leadership to ensure the profitability and financial health of the client portfolio. The VP will work closely with senior leadership, finance teams, media teams, and external stakeholders to ensure financial transparency, optimize resource allocation, and drive strategic business outcomes. Candidates with a knowledge of media processes required. This role will act as a strategic business partner and become the main point of contact for the teams, managing critical projects such as LOA, Audits & Financial processes. Strong written and verbal skills are required as well as an exceptional attention to detail and the ability to problem solve. The VP, Finance Operations will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will collaborate closely with the leadership teams across media, operations, and client services. **Responsibilities** + Develop and execute financial strategies for client accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue analysis. + Serve as a financial advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on revenue growth, budget management, and financial performance. + Guide the negotiation and structuring of client contracts, pricing models, and ensuring financial terms align with agency objectives. + Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate financial reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders. + Manage all audit, billing, financial and data compliance needs in partnership with discipline leads and key client stakeholders. + Build and maintain strong relationships with key client contacts, serving as their primary financial liaison within the agency. + Address and resolve any financial issues or disputes promptly, ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining long-term partnerships. + Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the finance team, emphasizing accuracy, attention to detail, and responsiveness to client needs. + Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and efficient resource management across account. + Monitor financial risks and ensure adherence to financial controls, compliance standards, and audit requirements. + Ensure that all financial processes and reporting adhere to industry regulations and best practices. + Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate financial records and transparency. + Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring high levels of performance, engagement, and career growth. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. + 10+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a media agency or related industry. + Extensive experience managing large client accounts and complex financial portfolios, including media budgets, billing, forecasting, and reconciliations. + Proven track record of leading and developing teams within a fast-paced, client-centric environment. + In-depth understanding of media buying, planning, and related financial processes (e.g., programmatic, digital, TV, print). + Strong experience in client-facing roles with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to senior executives. + Advanced proficiency in Excel and media planning tools (MediaTools, MediaOcean, Prisma). + Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights. + Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally. + High level of organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. + Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices. + Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. + Strong business acumen and ability to think creatively to solve complex financial problems. + High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to delivering exceptional client service. + A proactive, self-motivated leader who is able to drive results and influence change. + Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams. **Additional information** Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
