Vice President, Operations - Medical Group
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Position Summary:** The Vice President - Operations, alongside their dyad, Trinity Health West Michigan Medical Group Chief Medical Officer, is responsible for management of day-to-day medical group operations in the West Michigan market. The Vice President - Operations works closely with the Medical Group executive team to execute against established goals and plans, in keeping with the Medical Group’s priorities and the Trinity Health Strategic Plan. **What the Vice President, Operations - Medical Group will need:** **Bachelor’s in healthcare administration, business public health or related field required; Master’s prepared in healthcare administration, business administration, public health or a related field is preferred.** **Prior work at a Director level or relevant senior leadership experience of 10 years within a medical group environment.** **Must possess a knowledge of operations of complex healthcare organizations, medical staff relations, insurance products/health plans and have broad understanding of changing concepts in health care.** **Understanding and commitment to quality improvement and the tripartite goals of improving outcomes, satisfaction with care and reducing the cost of caring for populations.** **Demonstrated leadership experience in a large group practice or related health care organization.** **What the Vice President, Operations - Medical Group will do:** + **Annual Operating Plan** . Develops and maintains an annual operating plan to meet the organization’s fiscal year goals. + **Operating Budget** . Develops annual operating budget with finance and manages to budget throughout the year. + **Operating Model.** Develops, maintains, and operationalizes a practice management playbook, codifying best practices, policies, guidelines, and standard work. Develops organizational structures to drive performance and support our mission, vision, values, and objectives. + **Set Goals.** Develops systems and processes for cascading goals and priorities to divisions and practices that emphasize local accountability. + **Collaborates on Strategy** . Works with dyad partner, Division leadership, VP Strategy, President, CMO and COO to develop divisional strategic plans that support Trinity, Trinity Michigan and Trinity Health Medical Group strategy. + **Partners with Central Teams** . Partners with central teams, including marketing, RSO, compliance, credentialing, IT, Informatics, HR, finance, and clinical operations, to deliver exceptional services that enable front-line staff and providers to deliver exceptional care. + **Integrations & Activations. Evaluate opportunities and prioritize integrations & activations work with the senior leadership team.** + **Monitors & Communicates Performance.** Develops dashboards and reports to monitor operations performance and communicates status to key stakeholders in the executive team, operations, Trinity Michigan, and Trinity Health Medical Groups. + **Collaborates with Hospital Partners** . Develops relationships with hospital operations, service line and physician leaders to ensure clinical services are meeting agreed upon objectives. **Role model.** Establishes a foundation as a credible leader with vision, focus and integrity, both inside and outside of the organization. Is willing to give honest and transparent feedback to all direct reports to improve their development.
