Vice President, Procurement
Responsibilities The Vice President of Procurement will oversee all departmental functions including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and purchasing strategies for goods and services. This role will provide leadership to the Procurement team in order to leverage spend across Related to optimize pricing benefits and terms of service through economies of scale. This individual will deliver consistent savings and value for our property partners through negotiations, execution of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and strategic navigation of multiple business scenarios. This position will report into the Chief Accounting Officer and will be based in our New York office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop and implement overall strategy, financial metrics and go forward vision for procurement function Identify, research and competitively negotiate preferred agreements for goods and services Deliver opportunities to maximize cost savings and enhance quality of services provided Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure business platform purchasing initiatives are met Provide data driven analytics of purchasing insights Allocate resources effectively to execute multiple purchasing initiatives while managing risk Maintain supplier relationship health through communication and proactive management Establish organizational capabilities to measure performance and effectiveness of procurement staff Approve and implement procurement policies and procedures Serve as a key business advisor, offering in depth recommendations to guide decision-making Manage and mentor a team of 3, providing guidance and support to ensure achievement of goals Compensation $175,000 - $225,000 / year Annual performance based bonus Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or equivalent credentials Minimum of 10 years’ experience in purchasing strategy, contract negotiation and competitive price analysis Prior management experience in a procurement leadership role Familiarity with real estate development and property management activities, including experience in the following categories: Building maintenance / repair services Property management operations Fixed assets / equipment purchases IT hardware / software / services Marketing / travel / consulting services Utilities / telecom Office supplies Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interface with staff & leadership across all levels Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills Highly self-motivated and results-oriented Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced environment We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are deliberate about the team and culture we are building.
