Summary
Implement new or updated programs or portions of large scale, enterprise quality, safety, infection prevention, accreditation and patient experience initiatives. Project impact costs, quality, efficiencies and achievement of objectives across departments, often with enterprise-wide impacts.Apply advanced technical and clinical knowledge of quality, safety, infection prevention, accreditation and patient experience to solve complex problems which may impact service lines or corporate service sub-functions across the enterprise.
Job Description
Facilitate and manage strategic plans that achieve high-impact and significant improvements in organizational performance throughout the enterprise by providing oversight to performance improvement initiatives.Lead and manage the coordination and completion of continuous improvement projects and programs associated with quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives and standards. Oversee enterprise value-improvement activities and support population health plans, prioritizing the tactics and the leadership to ensure the implementation of the plan.
Work collaboratively with executive leadership across the enterprise to meet and exceed organizational goals. Responsible for both short and long-range planning, supports processes that assure oversight from operational leadership, legal, regulatory, risk and privacy while promoting communication with operational stakeholders. Serve as an inclusive, process-centric and results-driven leader that is highly adept in leading innovation and change.
Leads ongoing evaluation and implementation of efforts to establish an enterprise-wide culture of safety. Oversees ongoing training and educational programming and resources focused on Sanford's commitment to patient safety that creates reliable barriers to preventable harm, reducing or even eliminating serious safety events in our facilities. Effectively influences the prioritization of patient safety, experience, and quality outcomes.
Evaluate progress, synthesize patient feedback and identify barriers to success. Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement solutions to mitigate or remove barriers, and achieve ultimate patient satisfaction and quality of care outcomes. Assist in the effort to better understand the cause of patient or medical outliers, and assist with reducing the number of outliers through improvements in care. Develop and implement patient-driven tools and solution to help providers deliver care and bring patients innovative ways to receive care and information.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, pharmacy, health administration, or other healthcare related field is required. Master's degree required.Minimum of ten years of healthcare experience or equivalent field required. Minimum of at least five years in a clinical leadership or administrative role highly preferred. Proven leadership and coaching experience. Leadership experience of interdisciplinary teams required.
MD, DO, APRN, ARNP, NP, PA, RN, PharmD, RPh or other clinical license preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
