Job Summary

Responsible for leading and driving the sales strategy within the designated region, ensuring the achievement of revenue targets and market growth.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Leads a team of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), providing strategic guidance to ensure KPIs are met and holding sales leaders accountable.Designs and manages process for high sales performance, assessing team productivity and inspiring aggressive sales efforts.Ensures execution of company strategy through training programs and collaborates with various departments for effective programs. Provides effective coaching of account managers, emphasizing long-term customer relationship and profitability.Develops complex strategic accounts, partnering with internal account teams and external stakeholders to enable successful deal execution and mutual action plans, analyze key data and ensures executive alignment on the strategy to close strategic accountsCommunicates data, insights, and recommendations through clear and compelling presentations to leadership.Creates a collaborative culture with operations, General Managers, and corporate functions promoting accountability and inclusion.Develops regional sales strategies aligned with company goals, enhancing market share, profitability, safety, and productivity. Holds Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and District Sales Managers (DSMs) accountable for key sales metrics, providing feedback for improvement and driving profitable results.Drives HR processes, including hiring, coaching, training, performance management, and ensuring a strong sales leadership bench.

Nature and Scope

Problems are complex and difficult. Solutions require complicated, extensive analysis and detailed investigation.Sets or changes the operational plans/goals of an area/business.Leads major business processes or support functions to execute company strategies.

Work Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Typically requires overnight travel less than 40% of the time.

Education and Experience

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 10+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management role having significant business impact.

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidate will be located in: Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York, DC or CharlotteProven sales leadership experience.Demonstrated ability developing and implementing effective sales strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.Consistent history of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.Leadership and team management skills including excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization.Customer and supplier relationship management skills developing and maintaining relationships with key customers and suppliers.
