Vice President, Research Insights
**About this role** This role sits within Preqin, a part of BlackRock. Preqin plays a key role in how we are revolutionizing private markets data and technology for clients globally, complementing our existing Aladdin technology platform to deliver investment solutions for the whole portfolio. The Preqin research insights team is looking for a subject matter expert to join the team in New York. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the private capital industry and deep knowledge and expertise in at least one asset class. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and experienced presenter, comfortable discussing research findings with senior stakeholders across the industry. They will be able to deliver differentiated insights through detailed, data-driven industry research. The Research Insights team serves as Preqin’s authoritative voice in the market and comprises more than 15 analysts and former industry professionals organized across each major alternative asset class, based in London, New York, Dallas, Singapore and Hong Kong. The research is part of an institutional research subscription which has seen rapid growth as one of the company’s fastest growing products. The team produces over 100 institutional research publications a year ( www.preqin.com/insights ) that leverage Preqin data and serve a range of GP, LP and SP use-cases, from fundraising to asset allocation and dealmaking. The team presents to and engages with some of the industry’s most well-known fund managers and investors through client workshops and meetings, events and conference presentations. We are currently seeking a vice president to join the team as a subject matter expert the on the private capital industry with a focus on private equity or real assets. **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead research initiatives: the successful candidate will lead their own research and play a key role in shaping the team’s research output. + Team development: mentor a team of researchers, helping to ensure the production of high quality, data driven content that aligns with high standards and resonates well with clients. + Client and media engagement: represent Preqin at industry events, client meetings and financial press engagements. **Requirements:** + Industry experience: At least 8 years of experience in the industry. + Writing and analytical skills: demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights. + Communication skills: strong presentation skills and able to confidently and succinctly respond to questions. + Extensive knowledge of the private markets industry and the key opportunities and challenges that are faced by investors and fund managers. For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$150,000.00 - USD$170,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
