Vice President, Retail Sales - Home Appliance

Position Summary

The VP of Retail Sales leads all Home Appliance sales activities for national and regional sales channels. Working closely with the Product Marketing team, you will drive all strategic and tactical aspects of the development of the Home Appliance sales channel including strategies relative to national retail customers, clubs, and regional customers. Areas of focus will include providing input on promotional planning, product line-ups to maximize Samsung’s effectiveness in the market, and offering guidance on supply chain optimization.

Role and Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

Planning:

Plan and manage agenda for attaining national sales plan.Manage and develop sales team capability through people and process development.Recommend promotions and competitive reactions to the product marketing team.Work closely with the Supply Chain team to achieve the most efficient routes to market.Plan coordination with the Field Marketing Team to leverage where applicable.

Development:

1-3-5 year plans for national and regional account growthWorkforce planning to support short-, mid-, and long-term goals.Plan for local marketing funds.Distributor vs. Direct Strategy

Skills and Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Education and/or Experience:

Minimum of 15 years experience in sales and proven track record in sales managementExperience in an executive leadership/general management role working with Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Best Buy strongly preferredExperience as an executive in the Home Appliance industry preferredMicrosoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
