Vice President, Sales - North America Surface Transportation

Robinson, a global Fortune 250 Third Party Logistics company is presently seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Vice President of Sales for their largest division, North America Surface Transportation (NAST). Reporting to the President of NAST, Michael Castagnetto, the VP of Sales is pivotal in driving sales performance, achieving profitable sales goals, and aligning sales objectives with the overall enterprise business strategy. As the VP, you will have ownership of top line new customer development, identifying our largest growth opportunities and driving sales engagement across this $12B dollar division. Critical to your success will be working closely with the regional commercial VPs, regional sales directors and commercial excellence directors to develop and execute sales strategies that drive profitable growth. Experience the full benefits of teamwork and immediate collaboration in a vibrant and engaging workplace. **Responsibilities:** **Sales Strategy Development:** + Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities + Own top line new customer development ensuring we have access to the greatest available new customer engagements + Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's business objectives + Collaborate with senior leadership to set sales targets and objectives + Partner with regional sales directors to shape the sales infrastructure, including effective metrics, sales & customer projections, and consistent sales methodologies **Sales Engagement:** + Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure the achievement of sales goals + Provide insights and recommendations to optimize sales processes and improve efficiency + Develop and implement performance improvement plans as needed + Ensure total rewards programs are incenting and driving appropriate behaviors and results **Profitability and Growth:** + Drive initiatives to achieve profitable sales growth + Identify and capitalize on opportunities to increase market share and expand customer base + Develop pricing strategies and sales programs to maximize revenue and profitability **Alignment with Business Strategy:** + Ensure sales strategies are aligned with the overall enterprise business strategy + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives + Provide strategic input to product development, marketing, and other business functions + Be a visible sales leader for the organization **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university + Minimum 15 years of experience in sales strategy & processes, with proven ability building and developing a sales culture of growth + Ability to travel up to 50% **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree from an accredited college or university + Proven record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue and profit goals in challenging market environments + Extensive customer facing expertise + Experience or expertise in change management + Demonstrated strategic orientation and vision + Ability to collaborate across multiple shared services and internal teams + Proven success creating and supporting a culture of teamwork, leading large groups to a common goal + Strong executive presence, able to influence and represent the needs to the business to multiple stakeholder groups; able to navigate complexity and competing interests of multiple stakeholders + Broad industry perspective and understanding of competitive threats and competitive positioning + Engagement in industry leadership positions and associations + Demonstrated commitment to personal development + Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency & accountability + Values a diverse and inclusive work environment **Compensation Range** $270,000 - $450,000 The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
