General position summary:

The Vice President of Sales plays a pivotal role as both an advisor to the internal Client Solutions (Sales Team) and a consultant for potential clients. They understand client needs and collaborate closely with marketing to offer tailored solutions. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic sales plans to meet organizational revenue goals as well as identifying and pursuing new market opportunities.  You will lead, mentor and manage a dedicated sales team, consulting on client programs, fostering client relationships, responding to business requirements, and serving as a subject matter expert in a dedicated regional market.  The role requires comprehensive knowledge of mobility services, experience in selling HR solutions, and strong communication and negotiation skills a must. You will work closely with our Chief Commercial Officer for the Sterling Lexicon Group, on a strategic and conceptional level, while reporting directly to the Sterling Lexicon, President.

This role requires Relocation Management Company experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Business Development:

Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company goalsOversee the Client Solutions Directors to ensure sales targets are met or exceededProvide leadership, motivation, and training to the sales team, supporting their professional growth.

Consulting:

Act as an advisor to Client Solutions Directors ensuring service delivery. Act as a moderator/orchestrator between Client Solutions and OperationsEstablish and maintain trusted advisor partnerships with clients, aligning services with their mobility programs.Understand clients’ programs and translate this knowledge into specific solutions and strategies tailored to the client’s mobility program needs.Identify barriers to program growth/success and develop effective strategies based on client research and industry knowledge.Utilizing clients and professional networks to share and increase industry trends and knowledge.Strive to provide value to clients at every interaction.Maintain client relationships and act as the primary point of contact.Organize and orchestrate client events / moderate round tables.Attend industry/networking events to demonstrate Sterling Lexicon’s capabilities.

Subject Matter Expert:

Serve as a subject matter expert, guiding the Client Solutions team on corporate guidelines and ensuring successful outcomes. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the Sterling Lexicon suite of services and guide the client to ensure successful outcomes.Utilization of Sterling Lexicon technical knowledge and service delivery experienceManaging and responding to RFPs, understanding client’s objectives, and crafting compelling proposals.Managing and responding to transactional business requirements (small accounts with a la carte inquiries) focusing on individual services or a combination of (Visa & Immigration, DSP, HHG etc.).Explain the benefits of Sterling Lexicon services, technology product suite features and functionality, and how and why this will enhance clients’ mobility programs.Consult with and partner with the appropriate internal Subject Matter Experts to come up with tailored solutions for client.Partner closely with marketing to drive meaningful campaigns and initiativesServe as the client’s advocate back with the teams internally to ensure solutions and services are evolving to meet client needs.

Specific Job Skills

Proven experience as a VP of Sales, Sales Director, or similar role in a Relocation Management Company.Comprehensive understanding of the full range of mobility servicesExperience in selling complex HR solutions.Good understanding of marketing and digital sales solutionsProven ability to generate profit through new and existing business relationshipsExcellent listening skillsExcellent communication skillsExcellent influencing and negotiation skillsAbility to build strategic working relationships internally and externallyInnovative approach to business solutionsCommercial and financial acumen at a strategic and operational levelAbility to plan, implement, and deliver business goals

Preferred Education & Experience:

College degree or equivalent work experience preferredMinimum  15 to 20 years of experience in or with the Relocation/Global Mobility industry.

Travel

Ability to travel 50% on overnight trips.
