Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC seeks an Vice President, Sales Trading in New York, New York

Responsible for trading and risk managing complex and non-standard derivative products including trades that span multiple asset classes and innovative payoffs. Manage risk and price new trades. Work with a complex equity derivative portfolio and for providing pricing and liquidity to a wide range of institutional including Hedge Funds, Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, and retail clients including private banks, and distributors. Market making of exotic products in both primary and secondary markets, development of market making and trading tools, interpretation, and management of risks at both product and aggregated book levels including delta, vega, rho, gamma and cross gamma. Develop quantitative risk analysis tools at product & book levels, hedging, trading in listed and broker markets, optimize hedging strategies for illiquid risks, develop scenario analysis for macro including Fed announcements, micro including dividends, corporate actions, and market events.

Salary:

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $225,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s in Finance, Mathematics, or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Market Risk Analyst, Equity Derivatives Trader or related occupation. Requires Three (3) years’ experience with: Equity derivatives dynamics and their market risk exposures and Greeks; executing trades and managing risk through effective risk mitigating strategies; innovating and designing new exotic payoffs to recycle risk stemming from exotic trading books; financial markets, market risks, and regulatory requirements; financial mathematics including stochastic calculus and Black Scholes; technical programming skills including Python and automating back testing and pricing tools; post trade booking operations.
