We are excited to hire an experienced Vice President, Service Operations for our Belgrade office. The Vice President of Service Operations will align the strategic vision for IP Patent and Trademark Renewals with IP Operations and ensure the operational delivery of services. This includes establishing the future state operating model, leading the function across multiple regions, managing a significant budget and headcount, and driving customer satisfaction and profitability. 

 

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments 

14+ years of experience, with at least 5+ years in managing large-scale operations and leadership roles across multiple regions/countries. Bachelor’s degree  Experience managing large operations, finance, or IP Teams. Proven ability to manage relationships with key clients, 3rd party suppliers, and Patent & Trademark offices. Experience of managing internal and statutory audits. Experience driving cultural change within a multi-site environment. 

 

It would be great if you also had… 

Experience working in the Intellectual property space is preferable Preferable to have MBA / Operation Management  

 

What Will You Be Doing in This Role? 

Aligning the strategic vision for IP Patent and Trademark Renewals with IP Operations. Establishing the future state operating model for Patent and Trademark Renewals. Leading the Patent and Trademark Renewals function in US, EMEA, APAC, and India. Managing a budget of $12 million and overseeing 450+ headcount. Driving Clarivate’s Patent and Trademark Renewals delivery capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention while improving margins and profitability. Influencing and implementing operations strategy and policy for IP Patent and Trademark Renewals. Maintaining relationships with key global clients. Driving improved margins and profitability by enhancing the Operational delivery framework for Patent and Trademark Renewals. Shaping, implementing, and driving performance against KPIs Establishing KPIs across multi-region and multi-functional teams Owning and delivering the Patent and Trademark Renewals operations budgets. Establishing and refining a framework for continual improvement with industry-leading practices and quality tools. Implementing and maintaining best practices around operational governance, risk management, and supplier management. Engaging with Product development teams to influence technology and product developments that support operational delivery. Building an effective and cohesive management team across Patent and Trademark Renewals. Implementing an effective succession plan and focusing on the recruitment, development, and retention of a high-performing operations team.

Hours of Work  

This is a full-time hybrid position, working 3 days in the office every other week, the other 2 days per week will be from home.
