JOB SUMMARY

The VP, Spectrum Stores is responsible for building, owning, and driving the service, sales and saves culture across their assigned stores. This leader consistently demonstrates excellent leadership and coaching skills to create a motivated work environment where leaders and employees can excel.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Execute Spectrum stores strategic plan within scope of responsibility.Ensure implementation of sales plans and forecasts designed to meet or exceed customer growth and revenue projections. Regularly conduct area, market and store visits to monitor compliance, assist in building a winning culture and provide feedback for field leadership teams. Communicate overall plans, strategies, and matrix requirements to field personnel; monitor and evaluate results.Ensure the assigned stores contribute to the acquisition, satisfaction, and retention of customers, resulting in customer and revenue growth.Ensure all leaders and teams within their scope of responsibility are retaining customers through positive customer relationship building, diffusing customer escalations, utilizing strong listening skills, and probing techniques to overcome objections and save/upgrade customers.Ensure departmental standards regarding courtesy and productivity are maintained and that established sales quotas are met; regularly monitor customer interactions and performance metrics to provide feedback and coaching.Possess an excellent and current knowledge of Spectrum products, services and pricing strategies. Monitor leaders and team’s customer interactions and performance metrics and provide feedback and coaching.Produce monthly and quarterly key sales performance indicators and prepare analysis/strategy for ongoing performance improvement. Maintain knowledge of divisional competitive trends within markets and industries; recognize and address barriers.At the direction of GVP, Spectrum Stores build budget schedules, forecast models and monthly financial strategies, including headcount for assigned stores. Manage expenditures and stay within budgeted guidelines.Build a high-performing team by recruiting, training, and retaining the best talent. Support the recruitment process, as necessary. Manage, coach, develop, and motivate their leaders and teams to achieve divisional objectives.Ensure their assigned stores are compliant with Spectrum cash and inventory SOP’s. Ensure sales integrity through work order controls and regular sales audits Ensure store appearance/merchandising and equipment inventory protocols for all Stores within scope of responsibility are compliant, providing a consistently professional and welcoming atmosphere for customers.Ensure all store leaders and teams within span of control are trained and managing strict enforcement of all company policies and procedures, including active participation in Charter’s EEO program.Model and demonstrate company values, foster continuous learning and development, move team forward through change and create a positive work environment where employees can enhance their skills and maximize their potential through coaching, training, and objective performance management, including the progressive discipline process.Assist the Group Vice President and perform other duties as requested.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.Demonstrated ability to build a strong sales culture and high-performing teams, while demonstrating strong customer orientation in a goal and incentive-based work environmentAbility to build strategic partnerships within all areas of the organization by exhibiting excellent interpersonal leadership, influencing and presentation acumenDemonstrated history of forecasting, evaluating quality trends, identifying performance gaps, assessing root cause, and delivering continue improvement to rectify issues and enhance business performance, while effectively communicating those to their leadersAbility to plan strategic solutions that benefit the overall retail store organizationHigh degree of reliability, commitment, tenacity, time management and creative energy to achieve successProficiency in inventory and merchandising managementIn-depth understanding of wireless sales and strategyStrong understanding of existing and proposed business processes, policies, and procedures, includingpersonal technology, such as mobile devices and personal video platformsValid driver’s license and ability to meet Charter’s motor vehicle requirements

Required Education

Bachelor´s degree or equivalent experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Corporate/Field work experience – 12+

Leadership experience – 10+

Strong analytical, statistical, quantitative and deduction skills and ability to make qualitative judgementsExtensive knowledge of cable and telecommunications products and servicesKnowledge of Charter systems

Sales/Customer Service experience – 12+

Telecommunications/wireless leadership experience – 7+

Background as a Vice President or Sr. Director in a destination shopping environment

Experience leading teams that implement sales training and leadership development programs

Travel as required, up to 30% (to multiple retail locations to monitor store operations)
