What You Will Do:
As the Vice President for our Portfolio management Technology for Custom Harvest and Alternative Investments, you will lead a team of developers and engineers in the design, development, and deployment of full-stack trading applications support Separately managed accounts (SMA) and Alternative investments business. You will leverage your expertise in modern messaging systems like Kafka, caching solutions with Redis, and real-time streaming applications to build robust and scalable solutions. Your knowledge in Microsoft PowerApps, SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Data Fabric will be crucial in delivering efficient and effective solutions. Portfolio management tools with integration with Order Management Systems (OMS) and Custodian platforms will be a key part of your responsibilities.
This role is based in our office in Tampa, FL. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. This position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring weekly basis 3 days per week.
What You Can Expect:
Lead the design and development of full-stack trading applications with a focus on high performance and scalability.Utilize Azure stack with messaging components like Kafka to ensure robust and efficient data streaming and communication. Implement caching solutions using Redis to enhance application performance and responsiveness.Develop real-time streaming applications to process and analyze financial data in real time. Integrate trading applications with Order Management Systems (OMS) to ensure seamless order processing and execution.Build robust and automated start-of-day and end-of-day processes to improve data quality, availability and reduce manual touchpointsLeverage Microsoft PowerApps to build custom solutions and automate workflows.Utilize SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Data Fabric to manage and analyze large datasets.Ensure best practices and standards for security, compliance, scalability, reliability, and performance are followed.Mentor and lead a team of developers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.Collaborate closely with business and technology partners to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.Stay updated with advancements in technology and reflect these innovations in solution designs.What You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.20+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a focus on trading applications.Strong expertise in mission critical trading application setup including messaging systems like Kafka, caching with Redis, and real-time streaming applications.Knowledge of Microsoft PowerApps and its integration capabilities.Proficient in SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Data Fabric for data management and analysis.Experience with integrating applications with Order Management Systems (OMS).Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring successful project delivery.Financial Services experience, particularly in the investment management domain, is preferred.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Microsoft certifications in relevant fields are preferred.What We Offer:
