Brookfield’s Global Client Group (GCG) is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors and partnering with them in Brookfield’s various investment strategies globally.
About the Role
As a Vice President - Client Relationship Manager, you will support the Head of Greater China, Global Client Group in all aspects of client origination, fund marketing activities, client prospect due diligence and ongoing relationship management across all Brookfield’s private market strategies. Your primary focus will be to enhance the visibility and presence of Brookfield’s private credit products in the region. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Originate new institutional client relationships
Research prospect list and implement outreach plan
Identify new client accounts
Market Brookfield’s private funds
Pitch fund opportunities
Support ongoing DD of fund opportunities
Manage institutional investor relationships
Ongoing relationship management
Deepening and broadening relationships
Pursuing re-up and cross-over opportunities
You will be directly part of the Greater China coverage team, which is responsible for:
Institutional investors from Mainland China, HK and Macau investing globally
Institutional investors from Mainland China investing RMB in China
About You
To be successful in this role, it is expected that you possess a background in one or more of the following:
Undergraduate degree in accounting/business/finance with an excellent academic background
Post graduate studies in finance (eg CFA/CAIA), MBA or CA/CPA qualified
10+ years of relevant working experience in the financial services or alternative investment management industry
Deep understanding of private credit markets, fund structures, and institutional investment strategies
You will also possess a combination of the following:
Experience in marketing financial products, particularly within the private credit or alternative investment sectors
Strong investment and financial analytical capabilities and investment reporting experience
A positive attitude and pro-active approach to work
Able to develop strong internal/external network and ability to build relationships and work with professionals around the organization
Proactively seeks opportunities to get involved in more challenging projects
Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Excellent interpersonal, analytical and creative problem-solving ability
Superior written and verbal communication skills, including preparation and delivery of presentations
Certain security industry registrations may be required
Fluency in English. Business proficient in Mandarin or Cantonese.
