The Vice President of Aircraft Services leads the maintenance departments to meet or exceed quality, productivity, safety and financial objectives and customer expectations. The Vice President of Aircraft Services fosters and maintains working relationships with external customers, managers, project managers, sales team members and shop team members to promote cooperation and success with projects and customer relations; promotes the growth and development of team members by hiring skilled and talented team members; provides effective mentoring and coaching; monitors and evaluates team members’ performance; and recommends training opportunities. In addition, this position leads the development of the maintenance departments’ annual budgets and strategic plans, as well as the execution of goals and objectives that are consistent with corporate strategy; develops and promotes continuous process improvements and Best Practices; participates in multi-department special projects and committees; and maintains visibility in the industry through involvement with OEM’s, trade associations, customer events, etc. Researches and introduces new aircraft services business opportunities, and coordinates service agreements with OEM’s. This position participates as a member of the Senior Management Team in the formulation and administration of company policies.
Essential Job Functions
Meets departments’ established productivity and financial goals by promoting safety, quality, efficiency, communication and customer satisfaction. Works with sales team, managers, project managers, team leaders and technicians, and others to maximize profitability of projects. Oversees processes to ensure efficient project management of aircraft projects. Serves as primary contact for and facilitates expedient responses to internal and external customers and the FAA regarding Airframe Maintenance issues and works toward mutually beneficial resolutions. Assists with researching and resolving customer disputes. Fosters and maintains working relationships with external customers, OEM’s, vendors, etc. Maintains visibility in industry through involvement with OEM’s, trade associations, customer events, vendor events, etc. Promotes growth and development of assigned team members to promote team cohesiveness and trust by monitoring and evaluating team members’ performance in a professional, positive, accurate and timely manner. Leads in the selection, hiring, and staffing of team members. Recommends training needs and programs and identifies and recommends technical and non-technical training opportunities for team members. Participates in personal and leadership development opportunities and demonstrates leadership and professionalism. Leads and mentors department managers to ensure their continued personal and professional growth. Solicits individual and team feedback necessary to meet established objectives. Develops and implements process improvements to increase efficiencies and quality, reduce costs, reduce downtimes/improve turn times, standardize work, reduce and eliminate warranty and re-work, utilize innovative technology, etc. Leads periodic review and analysis of existing procedures and holds team members accountable to Duncan Aviation approved policies, procedures and Best Practices. Works with other aircraft services leadership within the company to assure consistent service delivery. Develops and updates short-term and long-term strategic plans for the departments to ensure that Duncan Aviation maintains its reputation of providing services which exceed the industry quality standards and promote repeat business, and support the Company’s financial objectives for the aircraft services business. Evaluates and submits requests for facilities, tooling, equipment and capital expenditures. Seeks and evaluates new services opportunities. Explores and pursues new business opportunities, evaluates these opportunities for cost/benefit value, and makes recommendations for developing new business relationships. Participates in programs and processes established for maintaining current business agreements and relationships. Performs other related duties as required including the development of management skills and systems within the company.Job Specific Requirements

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Avionics, Business, or related field or equivalent preferred Minimum seven years experience in aircraft maintenance experience preferred Three years leadership or supervisory experience preferred Proficiency with MS Windows and Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Project, etc.) requiredWorks Multiple Shifts: 0
