The VP Business Development will drive profitable and sustainable growth by defending and growing existing business and developing market expansion strategies across all product lines. This role provides strategic insight on developing AmeriHealth product lines in support of the growth agenda to drive membership, revenue, and earnings targets. **Essential Functions:** + Lead the identification and development of new business opportunities in future markets for all product lines. + Set market expansion objectives in existing markets aligned with strategic plans, supporting business development and market alignment. + Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Market/Product and Corporate Leaders to identify new opportunities that differentiate AmeriHealth Caritas. + Apply strategic insights to inform market expansion, ensuring regulatory compliance and addressing organizational issues. + Lead team of Market Development resources to achieve growth targets, integrating business development and market alignment strategies. + Measure performance against market expansion objectives, focusing on high-impact markets and maintaining compliance with government policies. + Cultivate external relationships that advance AmeriHealth Caritas’ stature in the marketplace and favorably position us in new and prospective markets. + Foster an inclusive and innovative work environment, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and continuous process improvement. + Serve as the leader to organize enterprise assets and resources for RFX success, collaborating with teams such as Government Relations, Competitive Intelligence, Network Development, Clinical, and Operations to create effective win strategies. **Education/Experience:** + Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters degree preferred + Minimum of 10 years of experience in managed care and 7 years as a senior management executive in business development. **Other Skills:** + Extensive experience within insurance companies, or healthcare services with understanding of market expansion, business operations, and strategic planning. + Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and drive quality outcomes. **Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion** At Amerihealth Caritas, everyone can feel valued, supported, and comfortable to be themselves.
