Job Description
Brookfield works with institutional investors across 10 countries in Asia Pacific. The Global Client Group (GCG) is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors and partnering with them in Brookfield’s various investment strategies globally.
About the Role
As a Vice President - Client Relationship Manager – Greater China you will support the Head of Greater China, GCG in all aspects of client origination, fund marketing activities, client prospect due diligence and ongoing relationship management across all Brookfield’s private market strategies. This position may have a special focus on RMB products. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Originate new institutional client relationships
Research prospect list and implement outreach plan
Identify new client accounts
Market Brookfield’s private funds
Pitch fund opportunities
Support ongoing DD of fund opportunities
Manage institutional investor relationships
Ongoing relationship management
Deepening and broadening relationships
Pursuing re-up and cross-over opportunities
You will be directly part of the Greater China coverage team, which is responsible for:
Institutional investors from Mainland China, HK and Macau investing globally
Institutional investors from Mainland China investing RMB in China
Assist discussions with other key stakeholders including regulators and government departments.
About You
To be successful in this role, it is expected that you possess a background in one or more of the following:
Undergraduate degree in accounting/business/finance with an excellent academic background
Post graduate studies in finance (e.g. CFA/CAIA), MBA or CA/CPA qualified
10+ years of relevant working experience in the financial services industry; alternative investment management; real estate, infrastructure, private equity or alternative asset funds knowledge
Prior experience working with Chinese state-owned enterprises.
You will also possess a combination of the following:
Strong written and verbal communication skills in Chinese (mandarin) and English including preparation and delivery of presentations
Strong investment and financial analytical capabilities and investment reporting experience
A positive attitude and pro-active approach to work
Able to develop strong internal/external network and ability to build relationships and work with professionals around the organization
Proactively seeks opportunities to get involved in more challenging projects
Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Excellent interpersonal, analytical and creative problem-solving ability
Certain security industry registrations may be required
