Vice President Convening and Development - Mindshare
**Job Description:** Intermountain Health's Mindshare Institute was created to sustainably benefit patients and society, boldly endeavoring to solve some of healthcare's biggest problems. Mindshare will study the problems, convene with other leading health systems to create a solution, and share the impact. The Vice President Convening and Development - Mindshare will support Intermountain Health’s mission and vision by fostering collaborative innovations that can transform healthcare. This position will oversee and be responsible for Mindshare Institute convenings, partnership development, business development, and overall engagement. This position will partner closely with the Managing Partner and Associate Director of the Mindshare Institute. This position will actively assist in driving opportunity development through the formation of collaborative forums, advisory groups, partnership networks, and Institute-extending services, etc. This position will promote the Mindshare Institute and its new collaborative companies and/or offerings both internally and externally and will report to the Executive Director of the Intermountain Health Institute (comprised of the Mindshare and Leadership Institutes). This is a Mindshare Institute leadership role, responsible for Mindshare Institute convenings, partnerships, business development, and overall engagement. Performing such functions will require the ability to think strategically and navigate and shape complex and dynamic multi-stakeholder situations and environments. The ability to source and build trusted and fruitful relationships with senior-level stakeholders (both internally and externally) through influence and networking will be paramount. This position will lead the creation and execution of impactful collaborative forums (i.e., numerous types of convenings) to drive deep multi-stakeholder engagement—including shepherding multi-million investment decisions that will require multi-organizational commitment and consensus. The VP of Convening and Development will also help promote the Mindshare Institute’s purpose and vision nationally and help secure strategic partners, customers, and other needed resources. **Minimum Requirements:** + Experience directing complex business development and/or consulting efforts that involve multiple cross-functional teams and organizations. + Ability to expertly facilitate group idea development and enhancement amongst senior-level leaders; and be able to achieve consensus and shared vision among individuals with varied interests and backgrounds. + Exceptional communication skills –both verbal and written – with the ability to communicate complex information efficiently, openly, and clearly; while simultaneously being able to appropriately alter communication strategies to match diverse audiences and contexts. + Experience in a leadership role requiring strong relationship and influence in a matrix environment. + Exceptional analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills. + Demonstrated conceptualization skills in determining strategic fit of novel concepts and structural arrangements. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree preferred. (Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.) + 10+ years in relevant roles, preferably in management consulting, corporate/business development, mergers & acquisitions, and/or other convening-related positions. + Significant experience in coalition building and/or influence management. + Thrives in collaborative, high-pressure, dynamic, demanding, and ambiguous work environments. **Additional Information** + This position can be performed remotely with travel as needed to successfully perform all aspects of the role. Intermountain Health maintains employment registration in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming. Candidates in other locations may be considered. Currently, we are not hiring remote workers in the following states: CA, CT, HI, IL, NY, RI, VT, and WA. + This is an exempt, full-time position with a base pay range of $186,783-245,656 Pay offers are determined by prior years of relevant experience within the established pay range. In addition to the annual salary, to show our commitment to you and assist with your transition into our organization, we may offer a sign-on and relocation bonus when applicable. With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary.
