Vice President Corporate Maintenance

Job Summary: 
The Vice President, Corporate Maintenance is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of Road Assist, licensing, and maintenance compliance. This strategic leadership role ensures the organization's fleet operates efficiently, remains compliant with all regulatory requirements, and provides timely support for maintenance-related incidents. The VP will drive innovation, improve processes, and enhance the overall effectiveness of maintenance operations to support business objectives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of Road Assist, licensing, and maintenance compliance operations. 

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance in maintenance operations. 

Ensure all fleet licensing, permitting, and regulatory requirements are met and maintained in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. 

Oversee the Road Assist program to ensure timely and effective response to roadside incidents, minimizing downtime and service disruptions. 

Monitor and enforce maintenance compliance standards, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are properly inspected, maintained, and documented. 

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across the corporate maintenance functions. 

Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee service level agreements with third-party maintenance providers. 

Collaborate with other departments, including Safety, Operations, and Finance, to align maintenance strategies with company goals. 

Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging data analytics, technology, and industry best practices to enhance maintenance performance. 

Prepare and manage budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to optimize maintenance-related expenses. 

Serve as a key point of contact for all equipment related regulatory documents and ensure the organization remains up to date with industry trends and evolving compliance requirements. 

Qualifications & Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 

10+ years of leadership experience in fleet maintenance, transportation, or logistics, with a proven track record in Road Assist, licensing, and regulatory compliance. 

Extensive knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, including DOT, FMCSA, and other relevant authorities. 

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. 

Experience with fleet management systems, maintenance tracking software, and data-driven performance analysis. 

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with internal teams, vendors, and regulatory agencies. 

Ability to drive change, foster a culture of accountability, and continuously improve operational processes.
