THE JOB:

The Vice President of Facilities serves as the strategic and operational leader of the Facilities division, driving the execution of a strategic plan aligned with the property's overall vision. Working closely with the Facilities Center of Excellence (COE), they ensure alignment with company-wide operational and financial goals. As a member of the property's executive committee, the Vice President provides guidance on long-term strategic priorities. They also lead their team to uphold MGM Resorts International's core values, foster employee engagement, and deliver exceptional guest service.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Develops and executes departmental strategic plans aligned with divisional goals. Oversees budgets, operations, and marketing strategies to ensure profitability.

Leads and monitors guest service standards across technical trades and property operations, ensuring alignment with company values.

Manages HR functions, fostering teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, and employee satisfaction while emphasizing diversity, hiring, training, and succession planning.

Coaches staff for growth opportunities and establishes accountability processes to ensure policy and legal compliance. Directs property operations, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and deadlines, and maintains compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Resolves maintenance, facilities, and landscaping issues and empowers management to perform effectively

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

6+ years of relevant leadership experience in facilities or engineering management at a major hotel, casino, or resort complex.

A proven track record of managing large, diverse teams, particularly in unionized environments, and are well-versed in collective bargaining agreements.

This candidate excels in change management, driving operational improvements, and adapting to evolving business needs.

They are skilled at ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, fostering collaboration across stakeholders, and aligning team objectives with organizational goals.

Has strong problem-solving capabilities and a focus on efficiency, they deliver innovative solutions to meet operational challenges in high-pressure, service-oriented environments.
