Job Summary
The Vice President for Process Improvement (VP-CI) is a senior leadership position responsible for driving organizational performance through continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in process optimization, change management, and operational excellence. This role will partner with business unit leaders to identify and execute upon key process improvement opportunities across the enterprise, including organizational alignment, transformational, cost savings, and process design / redesign activities. Lead a team of process improvement professionals to drive these initiatives with leaders across the organization. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with the organization's goals.
Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement across the organization and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, cost savings opportunities, improved organizational alignment, process design/redesign, etc.
Team Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high performing team of continuous improvement professionals to drive these initiatives with leaders across the organization. Provide subject matter expertise and coaching / guidance when identifying, developing/designing, and executing business process improvement efforts for AEP.
Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to assess performance metrics and inform decision-making processes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and external partners to promote continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with executive leadership, department heads, and other stakeholders to identify transformation opportunities and promote continuous improvement initiatives and ensure buy-in.
Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of continuous improvement efforts and stay aligned with business units to ensure outcomes are realized.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: 15+ years of experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or related fields, with at least 10years in a leadership role.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
Ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization
