Job Summary
Lead the development and implementation of supply chain strategy and processes to support enterprise goals. Develop capabilities and supply chain initiatives to support supply chain performance over a multi-year horizon, and is responsible for supply chain processes, infrastructure, and supply chain new product introduction. Lead senior management routines to monitor core supply chain performance, including delivering against service and production service level agreements, inventory and cost objectives.
Reports to the Senior Vice-President of Operations. Position’s scope is global, involving organizational leadership with responsibility of total direct and indirect purchases of $400M+.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Develops supply chain strategy and process to support and meet company strategy, company performance objectives, supplier new product introduction and customer expectations. Maintains routines to ensure delivery of core internal supply chain metrics. Develop and maintain supplier scorecards and supplier performance reviews. Extensive knowledge of ERP/MRP computer systems. Extensive knowledge and experience in a pull Kanban environment. Extensive knowledge of production planning, material control and inventory. Co-develop with legal, contracts to manage the supplier base. Develops and manages VMI agreements. Responsible for annual PPV improvements. Responsible for supplier strategy, development and rationalization. Responsible for tactical purchasing and YOY cost improvements. Identifies, recruits and develops talent within the organization. Education and/or Experience:
10+ years executive supply chain leadership required, aerospace preferred Organizational development savviness; people and process development Global direct and indirect supply chain experience Engage with all levels of an organization Business strategy development Extensive knowledge of production planning, material control and inventory Type Certificate experience – leading a supplier through certification steps New product launch – assessing development and readiness efforts Cost management with a broad focus on cost avoidance, value engineering (VAVE), and cost deflation Development and execution of continuous rate readiness measurement and remediation processes Development and execution of a detailed sourcing philosophy that meets corporate financial requirements as well as operational performance Executable inventory strategy programs that balance production needs with budgetary expectations Corporate level and supply chain related process development utilizing lean and kanban methods that are measurable and support continuous improvement Master’s degree from accredited institution preferred APICS/ISM Certification (CPIM, CSCP, CPSM) preferred Excellent written and verbal communicationCompetencies
