Job Title: Vice President of Manufacturing/Engineering

The Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering plays a critical role on the executive leadership team, directing and managing all manufacturing and engineering activities. This leader will develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with corporate objectives to achieve operational excellence, increase productivity, and support organizational values while providing leadership and mentorship.
Essential FunctionsStrategic Leadership:
Drive operational and strategic plans to improve processes and foster a culture that values safety, quality, and productivity. Participate in strategic planning, labor relations, systems implementation, and quality planning initiatives.Operational Excellence:
Develop and execute comprehensive manufacturing and engineering strategies, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and process optimization. Ensure the implementation and maintenance of quality control procedures that meet customer demands. Promote continuous improvement, capital efficiency, and operational safety.Budget & Performance Management:
Oversee manufacturing and engineering budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and costs controlled. Provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategy.Team Leadership:
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on key operational goals. Build and lead a high-performing manufacturing organization that supports new product development and process improvement initiatives.Technology Integration:
Leverage ERP and manufacturing systems to manage labor, overhead costs, and operational efficiency.Relationship & Stakeholder Management:
Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and contractors.Performance Improvement:
Define and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for operational and engineering teams. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, empowering employees to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions. Required Abilities/Skills Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Expertise in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Proven ability to manage budgets and operational targets effectively. Knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and compliance frameworks. Visionary thinking for innovative solutions. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. Extensive experience in successful manufacturing leadership roles. Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
