Job Highlights:

The Vice President of Clinical Operations, Crisis Services must have 5 years of experience in crisis services, 5 years of supervisory experience, and meet one of the following minimum requirements:

Bachelor's degree and Registered Nurse (RN)

Master's degree and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)

Master's degree and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Master's degree and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)

Master's degree and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS)

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Master of Health Administration (MHA)

Master of Organizational Change and Leadership (MSOL)

Other Required Qualifications/Skills:

Ability to lead clinical and operational teams and manage high-risk care in a treatment setting.

Strong knowledge of evidenced-based practices for youth and adults, crisis services and substance use services.

Strong knowledge of different insurance payors for funding, authorizations, etc.

Strong knowledge of services definitions for BHUC, PRTF and FBC services. 

Exceptional documentation, reporting and communication skills with a focus on accuracy and timelines.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Must have proficient interpersonal and coping skills.

Must respond appropriately to emergency situations and maintain stable work behaviors.

Ability to change routine in a positive manner.

Demonstrate knowledge of computer programs.

This Opportunity:The Vice President of Clinical Operations, Crisis Services is primarily responsible for resolving and overseeing internal clinical and operations of facility, solving internal issues as they emerge, improving performance, optimizing financial outcomes and budgetary expectations, and monitoring the work of the designated teams for excellent clinical outcomes and high standards of care.

What You'll Do:

Lead and optimize the operational performance of the behavioral health treatment programs.

Supervise and mentor the multidisciplinary clinical team, including physicians, nurses, and behavioral health professionals.

Provide executive administrative supervision and oversight, as applicable. This shall include, but is not limited to, responsibility for hiring, discipline, termination, training, and performance appraisals while empowering staff and leaders for professional growth.

Ensure programs are fully staffed with qualified, trained employees, and ensures effective 24-hour coverage for individuals served, as needed.

Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance treatment efficacy and operational efficiency.

Evaluate results to ensure that organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the goals, needs, and mission of the organization while aligning with the agency Strategic Plan.

Review financials, conduct financial analysis, and ensure assigned departments are operating within the agency approved budget. Identify ways to maximize revenue and reduce expenses, ensuring the financial stability of every program and service line. Develop plans to improve financial performance where not being met.

Strong knowledge of payors, community resources and behavioral health best practices.

Participate and present in regional or agency-wide trainings/orientation, as necessary.

Maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements.

Demonstrate responsibility for setting up and monitoring systems to ensure clinical and administrative duties for the assigned service lines are completed effectively, accurately, at a high level, and within agency-specified timelines.

Foster a positive and professional work environment, promoting teamwork and clinical excellence. Provide or coordinate the provision of clinical supervision to assigned staff members and/or programs. This includes, but is not limited to, individual or group supervision to all assigned staff either in the office or in the community, facilitating peer supervision, facilitating case consultations, and staff meetings.

Develop and present to Executive Management well organized, data-driven proposals for development and implementation of new programs/services with other department heads.

Develop networks of alliances and partnerships with others to exchange knowledge and information about learning and change in support of all agency initiatives.

Attend and actively participate in community, state, and agency meetings, working alongside community leaders and internal senior/executive staff in a productive manner.

Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal statutes and regulations related to specific program areas.

Report and share information with Executive Team members to ensure they are kept fully informed on the condition of the facility and the important factors influencing it. Identify and provide emergency crisis services, as necessary, and responds; accordingly, coordinate other services, as appropriate. Participate in on-call afterhours, weekends, and holidays.

Drive and travel to community locations, various agencies, and other outreach destinations as applicable.

Follow service definition guidelines for services being provided.

Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Certifications We're Looking For:Drivers License (Valid) - USA, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) - State Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) - State Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - State Social Work Certification and Licensure Board, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) - State Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board, Registered Nurse (RN) - State Board of Nursing

Experience We're Looking For:Experience in a crisis management setting or service during which the individual provided crisis response, Experience with Behavioral Health Urgent Care, Facility-Based Crisis, and/or Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility services., Supervisory Experience

Schedule:Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)

Target Weekly Hours:40
