Overview
The Vice President of Clinical Services and Finger Lakes Residential is instrumental in leading an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to service delivery for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The VP of Clinical Services and Finger Lakes Residential is responsible to provide leadership and oversight to residential leadership and clinical, and nursing teams as we fulfill our customer winning proposition and meet our mission. In addition, this role collaborates with agency leadership to implement strategies and systems that ensure high-quality services to persons supported by the agency. They promote the mission, vision and values of Heritage Christian Services, Inc.

Pay rate for this position: $135000 / yr - $158000 / yr
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting
Responsibilities
+ Inspire, reinforce and drive the continuous development of a person centered and quality focused culture that is reflective of the agency’s mission, vision, and value
+ Provide leadership and direction to clinical, nursing, FL residential and Pieters Family Life Center teams to foster high quality, person-centered services that comply with agency policies, regulations, state and federal law.
+ Collaborate with operational leadership, quality advancement and workforce development to develop policy and procedures which ensure quality services are striving for best practice, compliant with regulation and in alignment with current standards of practice.
+ Oversees the design and implementation of annual departmental goals, and objectives. Responsible for assisting teams in managing financial resources, operational and capital budgets.
+ Contributes to the organization’s strategic planning, goals and projects. Communicates with team members to foster alignment around a shared vision and serves as an ambassador for our project work.
+ Ensure collaborative work between residential team, clinical team, families, people supported and other department leaders to achieve outstanding results.
+ Engage in meaningful and collaborative relationships with other agency leaders
+ Plan and direct proactive, data-driven continuous improvement programs to improve the overall quality of services and care provided to persons supported by the agency.
+ Partner to create, implement and report on various operational plans and functions in collaboration with Business Intelligence and Analytics to ensure metrics, dashboards and reporting are accurate, relevant, meaningful and actionable.
+ Analyze incident and Compass trends to identify quality performance initiatives to advance quality outcomes.
+ Promote excellence through the implementation of effective training, coaching and performance reviews of direct reports.
+ Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding access, equity, diversity, inclusion, implicit bias, and institutional racism.
+ Is a champion of a continuous learning philosophy both individually and organizationally. Serves as a role model in carrying out the agency’s employee and customer winning propositions.
+ Work with all leaders and staff members to ensure a people-centered culture which inspires possibility.
Qualifications
+ Bachelors or Master degree in human services or related field
+ 5 or more years of experience working in long-term care and providing care for persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred
+ Five to seven years of general clinical experience; a minimum of three years leading and developing high-performing teams
+ Knowledge of OPWDD strategies, regulations and compliance standards.
+ Demonstrate leadership abilities, a high level of emotional competence and have previous experience working independently and managing multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
+ Ability to establish and build effective working relationships with all colleagues, staff, customers and key stakeholders. Acceptance of a variety of lifestyles, behaviors and cultural and spiritual practices. Promote diversity, equity and inclusion activities.
+ Must demonstrate excellent strategic thinking, problem -solving and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-through required. Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
+ Experience with data systems and data analysis in support of continuous process improvement preferred
+ A valid NYS driver’s license that complies with agency standards
