Vice President of Design & Manufacturing (D&M) Industry Strategy
**Job Requisition ID #** 24WD84160 **Position Overview** Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Product Development and Manufacturing Solutions, the Vice President of Design & Manufacturing (D&M) Industry Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive industry strategy to drive growth and innovation in the D&M sector. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape who can translate vision into strategy and execution. The VP will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, sales, and customer success, to align and implement strategic initiatives that expand Autodesk's market position. We are a remote-first workplace. You’ll work with teammates across the globe and will travel up to 10-15% of the time for face-to-face meetings like conferences, team offsites, and customers. If you prefer office life, we have offices in numerous cites including San Francisco, Portland, Denver, Boston, and Atlanta. **Responsibilities** + Develop and lead the execution of a robust industry strategy for the Design & Manufacturing sector, aligning with Autodesk's overall business objectives + Identify and analyze industry trends, market opportunities, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decision-making + Collaborate with product development teams to ensure the creation of innovative solutions that meet customer needs and drive market differentiation + Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and campaigns that effectively communicate Autodesk's value proposition + Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including customers, partners, and thought leaders to further Autodesk’s reputation as a technology pioneer + Provide strategic guidance and support to the executive leadership team on industry-related matters + Lead the strategic planning process for Design & Manufacturing at Autodesk + Represent Autodesk at industry & investor events, conferences, and forums to enhance the company's visibility and influence + Drive cross-functional alignment and collaboration to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives + Monitor and evaluate the performance of Design & Manufacturing business, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired growth outcomes **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred + 10+ years of experience in the Design & Manufacturing industry, with a strong track record of strategic leadership and business development + Deep understanding of industry dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape + Proven ability to develop and execute successful industry strategies that drive growth and innovation + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions + Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels + Proven track record of leading cross-functional, boundary-spanning initiatives + Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders + Experience working in a global, matrixed organization is preferred + Large consulting firm experience like Bain, Boston Consulting Group, and McKinsey is a plus + Ability to travel as needed \#LI-LD1 **Learn More** **About Autodesk** Welcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $279,800 and $384,670. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
