Job Overview:

As the Vice President of Finance, you will play a key role in providing strategic leadership and direction, fostering a collaborative culture, and driving operational excellence across the organization. This pivotal role involves shaping and executing the company's strategic initiatives to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence. As a Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the financial operations of the company. This position plays a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy, driving profitability, and ensuring the organization's financial stability and growth. The VP of Finance will lead a team of financial professionals and collaborate with various departments to achieve financial objectives and support overall business goals. As a key leader, you will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture that aligns with Leslie’s vision and values.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. Analyze financial performance and market trends to provide valuable insights for strategic decision-making. Maintain and optimize financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders. Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and risk management. Oversee cash flow planning and management to maintain liquidity and meet financial obligations. Manage relationships with banking partners and other financial institutions. Optimize working capital and investment strategies. Assess and manage financial risks, including credit, market, operational, and liquidity risks. Implement risk mitigation strategies and internal controls to safeguard company assets. Supervise and coordinate financial reporting, tax, and treasury functions. Monitor and improve financial systems, processes, and procedures for efficiency and accuracy. Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize the organization's tax position while ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Oversee all tax planning, reporting, and filing activities, including income tax, sales tax, and other tax-related matters. Collaborate with external tax advisors and authorities as necessary to resolve tax-related issues. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting standards in financial reporting. Stay up to date with changes in accounting principles, tax laws, and reporting regulations to ensure the organization's adherence to best practices. Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud. Provide strong leadership to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Mentor and develop finance professionals to enhance their skills and contributions. Participate in due diligence and financial analysis for potential acquisitions and partnerships. Oversee financial integration and post-acquisition activities. Develop and implement long-term strategies to advance company objectives and drive growth. Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effective resource management, while monitoring performance metrics and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Lead, build, and mentor a high-performing team based on collaboration, innovation, and performance, fostering a culture aligned with Leslie’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Facilitate communication and collaboration within the department and with other departments.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred. Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably in a large organization or corporate setting. Comprehensive knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and relevant regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Demonstrated track record in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic financial projects. Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the capability to drive organizational change and innovation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
