OVERVIEW Merrick is seeking a Vice President of Information Systems to be located in our Greenwood Village, Colorado Headquarters. The Vice President of Information Systems (IS) reports to the CFO and is responsible for leading and overseeing the development, implementation, and management of the organization’s IS infrastructure and systems. This role ensures that the overall IS strategy and all technological resources are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and operational needs. Typical annual pay range for this position is $220,000.00 - $270,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO Strategic Planning: Develop and implement an IS strategy that supports the organization’s objectives leveraging modern technologies, innovations, and platforms to help drive revenue, automate processes, and streamline operations. Systems Development, Implementation and Management: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of hardware and software systems. Applications: Architecture, development, integration, management, and maintenance. Improve current application development, testing, and implementation processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity. Products used in operations include Autodesk (Revit, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Civil 3D), PTC Creo, MS Suite, ERP system environments (Deltek Costpoint, UKG, Procore) and other engineering-specific software. Cybersecurity platform efficiency and effectiveness: Ensure the security of the organization’s data and systems, implementing effective measures to protect against cyber threats. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the IS team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Demonstrate strong leadership that inspires followership to ensure team effectiveness in multiple locations. This position will have three (3) direct reports. Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and implement annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the IS organization, keeping the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) timely apprised of any changes to IS spending and investment needs. Vendor Relations: Negotiate and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers. Compliance: Ensure IS operations comply with relevant laws and regulations. Stakeholder Management: Build and develop relationships with all key stakeholders for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness with existing operations, and help to define new operational strategies as needed, working with the CFO, Chief Operations Officer, and other business leaders on related ongoing projects. Serve as a key liaison between the IS organization and the rest of the enterprise by developing awareness and fluency on how systems interact and interface with each other to enable consulting with, and clearly communicating to, employees on how to better utilize the systems. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship. BS/BA or University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Fifteen plus (15+) years of progressive experience providing IS business support and strategy. Proven experience serving as a business process transformation leader, particularly in the context of the “Customer Experience”, to include portals, technology approach, change management, end-to-end business processes. Experience utilizing leading-edge technologies to enable revenue generation. Executive-level presence and the ability to effectively present to, and engage with, all levels within the broader organization. Ability to assess complex IS environment, develop and execute a plan of action to improve operational effectiveness. Experience selecting and managing IS service providers and ability to manage multiple IS initiatives. Strong leadership and clear communication skills that inspire followership is a must. The ability to recruit, develop, and lead teams effectively in multiple locations is critical. Successful cross-functional experience (Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Human Resources). Demonstrated ability to quickly assess issues and make effective decisions in a dynamic business environment. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AEC industry experience strongly preferred.
