Oversees development of a program, plans, and activities to create and execute a comprehensive development plan achieving new and recurring contributions to a school, foundation, program, and/or group. Manages a portfolio of major gift donors and strategically builds fundraising prospects. Assists leadership in facilitating a comprehensive communications plan and with development strategies.
Oversees development of a program, plans, and activities to create and execute a comprehensive development plan achieving new and recurring contributions to a school, foundation, program, and/or group. Build/qualify major gift prospects. Cultivate and foster donor relationships. Make initial contact with new prospects to arrange meetings and conversations. Determine if the prospect has the capacity and inclination to make a significant gift to the University. Prepare and execute gift and pledge endowment agreements. This includes ensuring that gift proposals meet the priorities of the University and receive approval from the President, revising agreements to meet donor’s specifications, ensuring it meets legal requirements and submitting for review by the Office of University Counsel. Strict adherence to University Institutional Advancement Gift Agreement policies and procedures.Prepare and execute cultivation tasks in consultation and collaboration with the President. Such activities might include arranging campus visits to meet faculty and speak with students, arranging visits between volunteers and prospects, and interfacing with financial advisors, etc.Work effectively and collaboratively with the University’s Philanthropic Alumni Engagement (PAE) Office to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures and to effectively reach potential donors. Supervise personnel in Institutional Advancement Office.
