Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to join their team! The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in marketing leadership, particularly within the government sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Department of Defense and Federal agencies, and the ability to create innovative marketing campaigns that align with our client's business objectives.
Create and implement aggressive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive customer acquisitionDevelop comprehensive marketing plans that align with the company's strategic goals and market opportunitiesSelect, lead and manage the marketing agency,Lead and manage marketing team, including performance management to ensure peak productivity and brand alignmentFoster a high-performance marketing culture through effective leadership and motivationMaintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and drive marketing initiativesDevelop and nurture long-term relationships with vendors, resellers and other sales partners to leverage strategic collaboration and brand affinityConduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify new marketing opportunities and inform strategic decisionsStay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edgeWork closely with sales and product development to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives and customer needsCollaborate with finance to ensure marketing budgets are effectively managed and aligned with company goalsEstablish ambitious marketing goals and KPIs for the company, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targetsFoster a results-oriented environment that encourages accountability and high achievementDevelop and implement innovative marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional marketingUtilize data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and improve campaign performanceMonitor marketing activities and track consumer behavior, leveraging analytics to inform decision-making and strategy adjustmentsIdentify areas for improvement within the marketing process and create targeted programs to address themImplement best practices to enhance marketing efficiency and effectiveness, driving continuous improvement across the marketing organizationRequirements
7+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership roleProven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies, particularly targeting customers within the Department of Defense and Federal agenciesStrong understanding of government technology convenings, channels, and regulations for outreachExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teamsAbility to develop and execute strategic marketing plans that deliver results, including translating big ideas into tactical actionsProficiency in marketing analytics and data analysis, with a strong analytical mindsetExperience with marketing automation tools, CRM software, design and video productionWillingness to travel as needed to meet business objectives (10%)Education/Certification Requirements
