The Vice President of Operations is responsible for the operations of MatterWorx, ensuring that the business runs effectively and efficiently in serving the workforce management needs of school district customers. The Vice President of Operations is responsible for sales, marketing, implementation, service and overall growth of school customers. The Vice President of Operations will implement operational strategies and will work closely with technical leadership and all stakeholders to achieve the company’s goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Grows school district customer base through sales, marketing, demos, RFPs, implementations, data collection, integrations, configurations, and customer service Serves as the “product owner” and lead and manage the operational functions of the business, partnering with technical teams and MSP partners Gathers customer and stakeholder feedback along with other market research to help prioritize and gather requirements for new features Develops and implements operational strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives. Works closely with the CIO and other leaders to drive the company’s strategic initiatives including identifying market opportunities and implementing new business lines Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Uses data and analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement Support security initiatives including achieving and maintaining security certificates. Oversees the development and management of the operations budget. Ensures that resources are allocated effectively and that the company operates optimally Monitors and evaluates the performance of the operations team and the overall operational performance of the company. Implement performance metrics and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement Ensures that the company complies with all relevant regulations and standards. Identify and mitigate operational risks to protect the company’s assets and reputation, with special emphasis on information security Works closely with the customer service team to ensure that customer needs are met and that the company delivers a high level of customer satisfaction Fosters a collative work environment and builds strong relationships with other department Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the SaaS industry Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence. Experience with agile methodology is a plus Familiarity with SaaS platforms and technologies. Understanding of cloud computing, software development, and IT infrastructure Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement Commitment to delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
